What you may want to try is to disconnect all other devices (dvd rom/Hd/etc) and leave one stick of memory installed, see if you get an image now, also pay attention to beeping errors. If you get an image, then connect your hd, if you loose the image it may be a damage hd or cable follow the same step until you reconnect all devices. Worst case contact OEM (but you will need an account number located on back or bottom of desktop) and they can troubleshoot. But if you dont have account number you can contact motherboard oem to test it for you they may replace.

    Good luck.

Possible solutions;
The Ram (memory) might be faulty,
The processor might be faulty,
If this does not work then change the Vga card
If that is not the problem then your mainboard is faulty

Spot screen

Hello

First find an external monitor to test if its the screen on your laptop or the graphics chip in your laptop. If you have an external monitor then hook it up to your laptop and toggle the video over to see if you still see the spot.If it only shows on the laptop screen the Replace the screen.
Another thing you can do is run the built in Diagnostics
Diagnostics before windows using the F12 Diagnostics
* Reboot and press F12 to enter the Boot Menu
* When the boot device list appears, highlight Diagnostics and press Enter
* The computer begins to run the Pre-boot System Assessment, a series of embedded diagnostics that perform initial testing on your system board, keyboard, hard drive, and display
* If the Pre-boot System Assessment completes successfully, you receive the message Booting Dell Diagnostic Utility Partition
* Press any key to continue
* Press any key to start the Dell Diagnostics from the Diagnostics utility partition on your hard drive
* After the Dell Diagnostics loads and the Main Menu screen appears, click the button for the option you want to run -
Express Test = Performs a quick test of devices. The test typically takes 10 to 20 minutes and requires no interaction on your part
Extended Test = Performs a thorough check of devices. The test typically takes 1 hour or more and requires you to answer questions periodically
Custom Test = Tests a specific device. You can customize the tests to be run
Symptom Tree = Allows you to select tests based on a symptom of the problem you are experiencing
* When you have finished running a test, close the screen to return to the Main Menu screen. To exit the Dell Diagnostics and reboot the computer, close the Main Menu screen.

Gx620 boots up, then screen goes blank, reboot gives blank screen with cursor blinking. will boot with cd but still shuts down after a minute or two.

Remove the battery and open the case. Look inside the computer with a flashlight to see if any of the capacitors are busted or leaking from corrosion. The capacitors look like little battery towers, but they are not as tall as the AA or AAA batteries.

If the capacitors are bad, your computer goes bunkers.

What's wrong with my hp pavilion 533w desktop

you need to reload OS or install a new HD. Get an external HD enclosure first to see if your HD still works and while your doing that see if you can back up all data in the HD to another PC.

Acer aspire t135 pc desktop locks at splash screen

These are the steps that you need to take, and the instructions on how to do it:
1. Reboot into Safemode
2. Run a virus and spyware scanner
3. Defrag
4. Scandisk
5. Registry error repairing
6.Reboot into regular mode windows

Here is how to do it:
Reboot yor machine while holding the F8 key right as it boots back up. A menu will apear. Choose -->"start windows in safe mode with networking".
Windows will start in safe mode. Run an AVG virus scan, then run Defrag by exploring your computer, right click on C: drive, click PROPERTIES, then the TOOLS tab, click the "check now" button, and only checkmark the top box 'fix file system errors', then click ok, the computer will then tell you it will scan upon next reboot., Now click the DEFRAG NOW button. the choose defrag. After Defrag runs for about an hour and it is finished, restart the system. If is still won't run normally, go back into Safemode buy pressing F8 on reboot, then run a registry fixing program such as uniblue registrybooster, then reboot again. If it still won't run right, you may want to reinstall Windows and see if that works. If reinstalling windows doesn't fix it, it is usually a hardware problem.
PRINT THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND KEEP A COPY NEAR YOUR SYSTEM FOR FUTURE PROBLEMS. THIS SERIES OF STEPS CAN FIX MANY PROBLEMS
Good luck.
James.

I have a Compac SR2011WM pc was running fine now won't boot up

You have either a loose video card or a memory module on the motherboard. You can try removing the video card and the memory module to clean their contact points using a tissue paper or best that you can use is a pencil eraser (rub it on the contact areas). Then try to re-insert again. Power on. Try this several time until you can see the pc rebooting already.

Computer Power comes on, shows compaq first screen, then everything stops. press esc, F10 or F12 and nothing happens. just continues to show the compaq screen. Any suggestions?

Try unplugging everything you can from the computer. Only leave keyboard, monitor, and power cables connected. Then try to turn on again. If computer boots now, then start adding peripherals back one at a time, rebooting each time. when you get the hang, there is your suspect peripheral.

Also, is the monitor itself having issues, or is it the computer? Look at the power light on the monitor, is it staying green, or is turning back to same color when it is in standby state?
