Question about Wacom Bamboo Fun 5.8" x 3.7" USB Tablet with Cordless Pen and Mouse - Black

Wacom Bamboo stylus shaky cursor

I only encounter this problem on Windows, I switched from Vista to a Mac when I first encountered it, but now I'm back to XP and having the same problem, it's not the USB ports, I think it may be the drivers, Windows' messages me saying "tablet driver is not running"

Any suggestions?

Animation is my passion, there has to be a way around this problem, I've used tablets on this laptop before.

Hey. I have the same problem with a black, Wacom bamboo tablet. Thing is, I have two computers.. it works fine on the newer, flatscreen Gatewayone with windows Vista, but shakes when I try to use it with the older Dell computer with Windows XP. It started shaking after having it a few months on the XP version.. so it's something that happened to my computer I'm sure. Researching it, some people said that things in the OS drive may be interfering with the tablet. ..I am not a technological genius.. I'm far from it. xD I have NO idea what the OS drive is, how to access it, or what ever it could be that might conflict with the tablet. While it is not an epic need for me to fix this, I would like it to be fixed for me as well, considering the computer it works on is not as available as I would like it to be.
Oh, I also had two tablets.. I thought the tablet was broken when the first one quit working, but now I have a relatively new one and it won't work at all on this computer... the same thing.
It's the computer.. not the tablet, this I'm sure of.
Hope I was of some help.

Ur issue is that the tablet itself can not be above the tower or the laptop. Magnets make it shake. I had that problem to anytime it was by the computer (only above for some reason) or by something magnetic, so avoid that and you should be fine.

I had the same problem randomly over the past year, not very often though. It just seemed to go away on its own.

I just unplugged my mp3 player that was charging + tried the tablet - the shaking has stopped..

plugged it in again + the shaking started up again.

Might be worth a try unplugging usb devices + see if that makes any difference.

It's annoying. I have the same problem, you get use to it. For one thing it doesn't shake when your drawing although hoover over buttons can be a hassle.

I just came to this site looking for a solution when it hit me; my tablet was spazzing like this because there was too much STATIC ELECTRICITY in the room. Once I sprayed everything down with a bottle using mist, it went away instantly. (DO NOT spray the computer/tablet. Only the furniture/surfaces)

If reinstalling, downloading drivers and moving your tablet away from the computer don't work, GIVE THIS A TRY. It's free and worked for me. Spray down the surface and furniture with a mist of water. DON'T DRENCH, and don't spray electronics. Static electricity can build up and cause the connection between the pen and the tablet itself to go haywire. Give this a try before you go looking for other drivers for a fix.

This worked for me; and if you do spray electronics, make SURE it's a flat surface with no holes gaps cracks or crevices to **** out the static from the electronic; probably better off unplugging it too before hand.

When tablet is to close to mains power source like power cable, extension lead , magnetic field generated by current in cable affects tablet. Just move apart tablet and magnetic field source and your problem will disapear.

If you have a standard mouse also plugged in, try turning it upside down or unplugging it outright, if you don't need it. It is probably playing tug of war with your cursor.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

When was it last working?
Well first, try restarting the Bamboo program or restarting your system. It has more than one program that runs at the same time. For example, one program may be the one to control the movements and another may be there to help manage your bamboo device.
Second, installing the bamboo drivers and software may help. Registry can be edited, but that can lead to more issues.
Goodluck! :)

Have the graphire 3 tablet, Not working well.

Wacom tablet not plugged into your computer with the USB cable.

Go to Add/Remove Programs, (Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs), and -> Remove
the Wacom software.

Restart your computer.
After Windows XP has fully loaded again, install the Wacom Graphire 3 CD, in your CD/DVD drive. Reinstall the software.

If you had to reinstall your Windows XP operating system, you may have corrupted some of the Wacom tablet's drivers. (Hence the shaky stylus cursor) Removing the Wacom software, and reinstalling it will repair.

Now plug the Wacom tablet into your computer.
You should see the, "Found New Hardware", pop-up out of your taskbar tray.
