In the menu go to: Message settings ->Sending profiles-> Message centre number
You obtain this number from your service provider and you need it to send text messages.
Call the customer service of you provider and ask the number or if they can send a sms with all the info.
Usually this number is obtain automatically by you phone when is first connected in the network, but it can "get lost".
I don't know your gsm provider, so you have to call them and ask the number.
click on to menu, click to sms setting, click to message settings, click profile settings, click the service provider, you will see and option service provider name, text code number, maximum and text. make sure it is on text and if not change to text.
First restore the phone to it's default settings. Menu > Settings > press up key once and "Restore Default" enter the code 12345 (if you have changed it, please use yours) and let it restart itself. Now try sending the message again.
If this doesn't help, you need to check the message center number from the message settings, Go to message, select options and settings/message settings and then text message settings and look for sending profile or message center, delete all the message center numbers and create a new one with the number that was on your other phone or copy it from another friend/user who is using the same network sim card or just restart the handset.
I think when you send text message it says message failed...right..???
This is because there is option in your mobile called as message service centre number.please check weather this number is correct.Call your service provider and you can get this number.
And also there is an option called as reply via same message centre please put this to 'NO'. now you can send messages
To go to this options please check follow these steps....

5.there is an option called as 'message centre',please entre your new message centre number and save it. set this as your message centre
6.Check the option 'reply via same centre' and please put it to 'NO'
Check your message setting, Open the Profile in your message settings and clarify the center number, you can compare with other's who is using the same service operator. The Center number should be same. If you see the center number is not correct, you can edit it and save it. If it's similar, then reset your phone to default settings "Restore Factory" using the code 12345 (if you haven't changed it), and check once again. If this even doesn't solve, then contact the service provider using the customer care number and tell them your problem. Good luck
go to messaging settings, text message, messaging centers create a message center if it doesnt have SMS Settings listed name it SMS Settings and straight talks number is +13123149810 (Note: You have to keep the + sign at the beginning. that can be found by holding down the o key)
I) if you want to send Text Messages or SMS messages go to SMS(where u normally send messages ) and then select Message Settings and then select Profile Settings and u will have two profiles(radio buttons) edit first profile(by pressing edit button) an then will get some settings to be made, u have to edit the number or phone number(if you are not sure about the number, contact ur customer care to get the number and enter it....)
