Question about Gateway Belkin 54g Wireless DSL/Cable Router (DHF5D72304)
I need to set up the internet service from computer on to my kids computer. How is the router use?
If it's not a wireless router, you just connect the cable from your dsl/cable modem to the internet port on the router and then connect each computer lan card using a cat5 cable to any port on the router. If it's a wireless router you connect the modem to the router as above and then each computer must have a wireless card (notebooks usually have it built in) to connect to the wireless routers listed name.

1st you need to connect to the router with a PC to set up the internet connection. You will also need to configure Wireless passwords (assuming that you wish to connect wirelessly) I suggest that you use WAP as your security method. Once you have done this you will need to connect your kids pc's to the wireless network, This is done by entering the Wireless key you have just set up.
This is a very high level flyby. If you need further information let us know.
