Question about Sony KLV-S32A10 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

One Green Dot on my new 46" Sony Bravia LCD

Called Sony directly and they told me this is normal and not covered under warranty. It's described in the "Product Safety" sheet that came with the TV. The green dot is only visible when screen is dark. This is an embarrassment, especially when you want to show off your new HD TV and your neighbor says "what's that green dot on your screen". It's right in the middle of the screen.

Has anyone else been successful in getting the manufacturer to replace the display?

I have a sony bravia 46'' lcd 2x hdmi tv when I GO THRU MORE THEN ABOUT 10 CHANELS KIND OF QUICKLY the tv goes to a green screen and stays on a green screen until i restart the tv is this norm

I find it unlikely this is normal.

I am not a betting man but..........

What I would do is invest the time to contact Sony customer service and talk to someone who can access their database.

They like other major companies keep extensive records of every complaint recorded---see if anyone else had this issue.

Sony has had some beauties---Recently an issue where heat warps the door made of plastic in front of the lamp resulted not in a free part but free repair and or replacement of the 3-4 year old sets involved.

let me know if you have questions

Hi,
Problem sounds with t-con board that is part of lcd panel (screen).
Since its a week old so must be under warranty, ask Sony for warranty cover or get replacement from Store there it was purchased.
Thanks.

Permanent Vertical Line on my Sony Bravia 46 inch LCD TV

What you're describing is usually the result of an improperly seated connector. With the power disconnected, open the tv and locate any connectors between the LCD screen and the driver circuit board. Unplug them, and reconnect it assuring it's properly and firmly seated. Be careful when handling these cables as they tend to be quite fragile... take your time.

Sony bravia 46in z-series with shattered screen, would it be cove

Typically a shattered screen means that something hit it. This would not be covered under warranty. If the panel were to fail under normal working circumstances, it would be covered. Warranties for any type of product cover manufacturing defects NOT physical damage.

Sorry,

Dan

Had the same problem with mine. Took off HDMI cable and used the HD cable (Red Blue and Green) for video and standard (red and white) cable for audio.

EVERYONE CALL SONY- SONY HAS EXTENDED ALL OF OUR WARRANTIES. i have this same problem with my 60" wega. i called sony and they explained to me that the problem was the optical light box. it cost a grip to fix even for them...so instead of fixing the problem they offered me the best true flats they had at way less than the actually price. i bought a 46" bravia for less than 550 including tax. i still have my 60" but until i get it fixed on my own this 46" will definitely do. i hope this helps you all

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32v2500, 16 months old, a thin vertical green line has appeared just off centre. It is on all channels and all input sources. Any suggestions?

If it still under warranty, no cost will be there, but if its out of warranty, you have to pay to Sony (might be they give you some discount) because its problem in LCD Panel.
