Yes, if it is under warranty they should replace it for you at no charge, however, if they can prove it was broken intentionally then you may have a problem. they will simply remove the keypad and insert a new one... quick and easy if you have the parts available

Please check is there any loose contact at DC POWER SUPPLY Jack. Remove the battery and clean it and reinsert battery,
If the system is properly shutting down, there may be a keyboard KEY is struck on the Sleep Key. Please clean your key board also.
Try once by removing hard disk, RAMs and reinsert it.
If you are looking for a windows product code go to support,microsoft.com and they can give you a new code. I think you mean Windows XP they should still be able to give you the code(key) even though Windows XP is no longer made or sold. It was replaced with Vista. But, you have to get the keys from microsoft there is no universal key. Sorry.
Could you explain some more of what you are looking to do. Is it get a key board and mouse working on a laptop, If so when you plug the key board or mouse into the system while the system is on it should recognize the device and install what is needed, If not plug in your items and go into control panel and add hardware button and follow directions. Can you please look underneath the key to determine if the plastic has been damaged/broken. If it is then you will need a new key, or possibly switch with another less used key, if you don't want to purchase a replacement.
