Question about PC Desktops
My hard drive had to be replaced so I had to reload windows and heaps of drivers. Now the buttons either side of the power on/off button don't work. I can't turn my wirless on or use the P1, P2, P3 of media button.
Is there something I have to load or is there somewhere on my PC where I can program these buttons.
You could always physically switch the cable that goes to your 'reset' button with the one goes to the 'on/off' button and that way you could turn your pc on by clicking on the 'reset' button.
In other cases the problem is actually a little microswitch the is connected to the motherboard and that is indicating and sending a signal to the bios that the case had been opened.
One way is to find that microswitch (usually somwhere at the edge of the inside panel) and to disconnect it's wire from the mother board... the second way is to get into the bios (by hitting the 'del' key or as indicated at startup) and find the line that says 'halt on case opened error' or something similar to it or disable this function.
Hopefully it was informative enough for you to rate my response,
Thank you for using agadycom.
