If you want to save an image into a word document you need only save the file as any image format.....then open word ....new document.....insert image....from file.....then browse to the image you saved....then ok....
Word does not really have an image format but allows you to place an image on a page (as in desktop publishing)

Cannot save in pdf format after scanning thru hp g3010 scanner using win7 pro

Hi abdul_haq779,

This problem couldd be resolved by printing the format that you get via your scanner for e.g. jpeg into pdf , by using a free pdf printer tool.

Once you have an image scanned via your scanner , you can just print the image in pdf mode.

No Image after scanning using canon 8000f Windows XP. Can a nearly full hard disk cause this?

I have many years experience repairing Canon scanners so here is my suggestion to you.

Yes a full hard drive can stop the image from being saved to the hard drive but the scanner should still scan the image but not be able to save it to your drive. When you say nearly full hard drive you need some room to save images so if you can try and make some room for these images. Try scanning in preview first that should show you your image without saving it.

I hope this helps you out.

Canon dr 6080 scanner is getting papers but i dont know where the scanned images are being saved and whether being saved or not?

What scanning software are you using? Once you initiate scan command, the software will ask for location (and format) where you want to save the files. After scanning, try & use 'Save as' command, by default it will go to where it is already saved. Alternatively, search for the file name under Windows.

Saving image in other format

Please refer to my post addressing your other related question:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1368024-edit_saved_image

You are not actually editing in any particular format per se. It's just that whatever editor you choose and use has the capability to be able to recognize and read in your target image [as well as be able to save the edited (changed) image to MANY other differing formats if desired (i.e., JPG > PNG, BMP > GIF, etc.). Whatever editor that is SHOULD be able to do this with at least ALL the major and most common formats, and many do, including those I recomended in my previously mentioned post.

Recognizing hardware on a Mac OS X Tiger

Try just using the epson scan utility

1. Launch Epson Scan by going into your HARD DRIVE, APPLICATIONS, and EPSON SCAN.
2. If prompted, select your scanner from the list of models and click OK.
3. In the FILE SAVE SETTINGS window, you can designate the location, name and type of file the scans will be saved as.

-LOCATION defaults to HD/USERS/(YOUR USER NAME)/PICTURES. Click CHOOSE if you wish to change this.
-PREFIX determines how the scan will be named. Type any name you like. You can also designate a start number.
-FILE TYPE dictates what format the scans will be saved in. ie. .JPG, .TIFF, .PDF, or .PICT)
-For example: if the prefix is "img", the start number is "1", and the format is "JPG", the name of the file saved in
PICTURES will be "IMG001.JPG"
4. Click OK once settings are changed as desired.
5. The EPSON SCAN window will open and begin scanning in FULL AUTO MODE. In FULL AUTO MODE the software makes all the decisions for you (as to what is being scanned, where it is on the flatbed, etc). This is the easiest way to scan.
6. If you want full control over the scanning process click PAUSE and change FULL AUTO MODE to HOME MODE or PROFESSIONAL MODE. In the latter two modes you can change your scan settings as desired. Click SCAN after you have selected your settings. Click CLOSE once the EPSON SCAN is finished scanning.
7. When scanning is complete, your images will be saved in the location specified on FILE SAVE SETTINGS, with the prefix and in the format you set.

PAPERPORT PICTURE FILE

Open your visioneer software. Scan your image then select the image and display it by clicking the desktop icon at the top tool bar. Then once your image is displayed, go to the pulldown "file" and choose "save-as". Select the format of your choice from the bottom pulldown of the "save-as" window. Of course name you image before saving.

Setting the format of the picture i scan

Ok I am not sure why ya scanner won't save in JPEG .. however converting the files to JPEG is relitively "Simple". After saving the Scanned picture.. Open it up in say MS Paint, Painshop etc, then simply choose "Save As.." from the File Menu, and save it as a NEW image file this time with a JPEG extension. IE: origional... picture.png or picture.bmp ... save as ...picture.jpg .. ya should be good to go. :)
