a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

I want to make my acer aspire one to run faster, but i dont know what programs i dont need to uninstall it, can someone help?

Normal un-installation will not help you to speed up your acer one netbook, because un-installation will not remove keys from registry, instead of un-installation you do three things
  1. Start>Run > type %temp% >enter, then select all and delete
  2. Start>Run > type temp >enter also delete all temporary file
  3. Start>Run>type prefetch> enter, then delete all
  4. Run> msconfig>enter then select "startup" click on Disable all
enable only urgent start-up applications (eg:bluetoot, touchpad)

you can speed up by these ways, other ways format with fresh OS do the same after installation of all softwares, avoid installation of un-necessary softwares... Thank you

The cd drive dosent work, lights dont come on and whem i click on my computer, it dosent recognise any cd drive on the laptop. the device manager says it's a device problem.

The optical drive sounds as if it's no longer functioning. The first thing to try is change the CD drive, which in a laptop will be rather expensive. One way to circumvent the problem temporarily is to get an external optical drive.

Too many mods installed with out backups

Try uninstalling then going in and make sure the folder where the game files were installed is deleted. Sometimes I've had problems where mod files have stayed around and when I reinstalled a game the files would still be there so the mods still affected the game. Hope this helps.

Sound device not working

if you're using windows:

try to uninstall and reinstall your cound card driver

-right click on My Computer
-choose Properties
-select Hardware tab
-click on Device Manager
-under Sound,Video and Game Controller look for the device in question(the one with punctuation mark)
-right click on it and choose uninstall(take note of the device name before un-installing, you might need it if you want to download a driver for it)
-re-install your sound card driver after

you can find the driver at

if this doesnt work youll have to open up your PC case and rmove and clean the contacts or your sound card and reseat it again...or move it to another slot...

hope this helps

Ive lost my sound?

Hi, if you have the original driver CD for your system then run the whole set up not just the audio. If you donot have this CD then look inside your computer, locate the manufacturer and any model numbers you can see. go the manufacturers web page and download the latest drivers there.
