ActiveSync Error Message

I get this message when i try to sync my mobile phone (Samsung Omnia Phone) I have Active sync 4.5 installed. This i s the Message: ActiveSync encountered network problems or an internal desktop error while synchronizing. Support code: 8510015

    i have an samsung omnia i900 and windows vista installed on my laptop.

    active sync the latest edition i downloaded from windows site.

    when i connect my samsung to the laptop via the usb cable, the active sync starts and gives me a connection status and then within 5 seconds gives me an error, it is not saying which code error, and is not giving me any clear information

    I have been having a similar problem with my Moto Q9M...everytime I attempt to sync by using ActiveSync, it gives me this error message:

    "Your internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in Connections."
    I've tried everything I know how to do (I'm not tech-illiterate, but I'm not too informed on issues like this.) Anyone have the solution?

this due to usb you just download hotfixes form microsoft updates and also download win xp service pack 3 which is available in windows site

due to the fact that this is an international phone,your network provider must have a configuration settings particularly on MMS.if there is no settings with them then there is no way you can use the MMS service

pls tell me what do u want to do with active sync bcoz this small piece of software gives lot of trouble in winxp , vista WMDC works ok , i know u are frustrated with microsoft support infact support one some issues does not even exist at all , this problem is not from ur PDA it is from this malfunc software that is called active sync , pls let me know if u use active sync to backup ur contacts then u can do it with SPB backup better than active sync without errors u can losd it it to ur pda and can make backups from ur pda not pc dependent at all

pls let me know abt ur usage of this software

How i can sync my Ipaq h3955 with my pc win xp


In order to sync your iPAQ with Windows XP or earlier, you will need to download and install Windows Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 from:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/activesync-download.mspx.

Notes:
You can use ActiveSync 4.5 only with phones that run Windows Mobile 2003 or later versions. ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center won’t work with Windows Embedded CE 4.2 or 5.0, Pocket PC 2002, or Smartphone 2002 phones. (To see which Windows Mobile operating system you’re using, if your phone doesn’t have a touch screen, click Start > Settings > About. If your phone has a touch screen, click Start > Settings > System tab > About.) To sync information to any of these phones, you must use a USB or serial cable and your computer’s Internet connection and File Explorer.
You must use Microsoft Outlook 2002, Outlook 2003, or Office Outlook 2007 to sync your e-mail, contacts, tasks, and notes from your computer.

Download and install ActiveSync:
1. Click the download link on this page, and then click Continue.
2. Select whether you want to register for the Windows Mobile newsletter, and then click Continue.

You will need active sync

To install and set up ActiveSync on the computer
1. Install ActiveSync on your PC, as described on the Windows Mobile®
Getting Started Disc.
2. After Setup completes, the Synchronization Setup Wizard
automatically starts when you connect your phone to the PC. The
wizard will guide you to create a synchronization
3.Select the information types to synchronize between your phone and
computer.
If you will synchronize your phone with both your computer and
Exchange Server, do the following:
• For the Contacts, Calendar, E-mail, and Tasks items, choose whether
to synchronize them with the computer or with the Exchange
Server. These items cannot be synchronized to both.
• Select the check boxes of the other information types if you want
to synchronize them with your computer.
4.Click Next.
5. Click Finish.
When you finish the wizard, Active Sync synchronizes your phone
automatically. Once synchronization completes, you can disconnect your
phone from your PC.

After that if you setup the program correctly every time you will connect your phone with computer will be automatic synchronized

I AM TRYING TO SYNC MY HP iPAQ TO MY COMPUTER, BUT AN MESSAGE ERROR SAYS THAT 'RAPI.DLL' IS MISSING. WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD 'ACTIVE SYNC' AND 'RAPI.DLL'

This package contains the rapi.dll inside it.

Active Sync. on an MDA Vario 3


i had this problem, everytime i refreshed the mda the pc showed that the phone was connecting then once the mda vario had stopped the connection was lost, what i did notive was that the com port for active sync showed up on my pc as com port 4? which isnt a choice on the mda as there is only 2 ports available com 6 and com 7, what i did was to add new serail services to the pc until i was given com 6 as a choice,(because by default the pc starts off as com 4 then com 5 etc, so goto the bluetooth configuration then click on client apps and keep adding new service until you get com 6 then try and sync via activesync on your phone, if that doesnt work make sure that you have added new bluetooth device which gives you options of what services you would like the phone to use with the pc, click activesync then configure it to connect on com 6 voila that should work fine iv just updated mine to netframework 2.0 and can now run all the apps i want, any problems email me on iwannatoken@hotmail.co.uk il be happy to assist any way i can as i was stuck on this problem for ages and ages until i finally solved it hope you succeed.

Easy Sync Pro not able to connect to my HTC touch


I had exactly the same problem. I changed location from Easysync on my HTC P3300 from memorycard to internal memory. It worked!!

Using easysync 4.26
Lotus Notes 8.0.2
Active Sync 4.5

Unable to sync


Usually rebooting the phone will cure this, I presume you have switched the phone off, removed the battery and restarted?

make sure in
File--> connection settings
that usb and the port you have assigned to bluetooth is enabled
(all tick boxes checked)

try deleting the device from active sync
File--> Mobile device --> (select your device)
then go to
File --> Delete mobile device
make sure you have copies of any un-synced data as it may be lost but shouldn't.

If I remember rightly (dont have a touch to hand) also delete the link to the pc in the active sync window on the touch
Menu--> options (select the server name) Menu-->Delete

and re create the profile by plugging in the device.

Connecting to pc


make sure you've loaded the software the phone came with onto the host pc (fully loaded it, and go through the "configuration" routine it asks you to complete after installing the activesync software). That should fix your problem. Incidentally tho, i've connected my phone via usb cable to pc's that did NOT have the active sync software installed, and those pc's still recognized the phone as a removable drive (without the syncing capability). You can still install applications and syncronize files manually so long as the host pc sees it as a removable drive tho (although it takes a tad bit more technical knowledge, such as file paths and the like)

Do you have the proper drivers installed? Try here for USB to Computer Drivers if you have Windows XP: http://hpcmonex.net/nec900/files/soft/nec/activesyncusb.zip Also make sure that you have Activesync 3.8 or other version of 3. You can find it here: http://www.hpcfactor.com/ftp-root/software/microsoft/activesync/activesync-38/MSASYNC.EXE

Syncing with PC (windows xp)


Without seeing the error files, it's hard to say what the problem is, here's a few guesses 1. Did you type your contacts into the default contact list? This is the one at the top of the Outlook folder list. You should NOT create a subfolder because ActiveSync by default only synchronizes that one file. 2. You may have an antivirus or internet security program that is preventing ActiveSync from synching. This would show up in the error log. To try this, turn off: - Any firewall programs (including the Windows default one) - Any antivirus programs - Any internet security programs If this solves your problem you should add them back one by one to isolate the issue. Then when you find the problematic program, manually add ActiveSync to the list of always allowed applications.
