Audio sound how do i reinstall cannot Hear CD play

The audio drivers for your audio controller can be found on the utility CD that came with your computer or notebook. If you do not have access to the CD disk, visit the manufactures website. Click their downloads/support button and search for software that is specific to you model of mainboard/audio card.

You will need to use the model number of your audio device. This is either found on the audio card or if your computer makes use of on-board audio you will need to use the model number of the mainboard.

Take care!

I Can't hear a sound, after I re-format my computer... I tried to instal realtek Ac97, no difference at all... :((

You have formatted the sound Card driver(also called audio card driver).
You need to give the following three pieces of information in order for your audio driver to be downloaded from the internet if you do not have the CD for drivers that come with the hardware.

  1. You need to give your current Operating system (Windows XP, Windows Vista or Linux....etc)
  2. Your sound Card Manufacturer (Vendor).
  3. The Model number of your sound card.
Good Luck!

I have missed the sound on my computer. I cannot play any music-files. Even the jingles who tells me that the computer is going to start is missing. I can burn any MP3 to an audio-CD and hear it on my...

Go to the support web site of your computer manufacturer and download the sound drivers specific to your computer.
After downloading these files, double-click on them to have them installed on your computer.
This may fix any damage that you have caused to your computer.
I can't be more specific, because you didn't provide the make and model number of your computer in your question.

  4. In the Name text box, be sure that the three-letter file extension is ".wav".

  5. Under Preview, click the Play button. You should hear a sound.

If you don't hear any sounds, or if Windows is not able to play a .wav file, check to see that a sound driver is enabled:
