How to download movies to disney mix max

I purchased the digiblue disney mix max for my son. I have downloaded windows media encoder to convert the files...but where do I get the files? What sites should I be purchasing and downloading movies from? The mix max supports wmv files, but I am far from computer literate and would like to know where I should be getting the movies to convert.

We got one for our kid too. Follow this link

Windows Encoder 9 will work but you have to change a lot of settings.

SOURCE: my disney mix stick wont

You need to see what is the file extension is the songs you downloaded. Then on the internet is several type converters to MP3. So basically save to your computer and convert and then reinstall. If you give me the file formats I will find one for you.

SOURCE: I want to erase all

BE SURE NOT TO DELETE YOUR FIRWARE, ONLY THE SONGS,FILES,ETC.
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

I have a Disney Mix Max and the movies won't load. Please help me. Thanks

Your problem may be that your movies might not be in the correct format. The Disney Mix Max only accepts files that are MP3 and WMA for audio, JPEG for video, and WMV for video. If the video that you are trying to load is not in WMV format, you will need to format it is so that it is in WMV. Converters can be found at download.com , generally for free or little cost. For the Mix Max user manual, click here. Resources- http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/disney-mix-max-player/4507-6490_7-32133407.html?tag=mncolBtm;rnav

Nothing except songs will download. How do I put movies on? Who designed these retched things? I have tried a fox digital copy that is suppose to work but still nothing. (Ice Age 3) Please help me before I...

Convert files to WMV so they work with your MixMax you can download the Magic DVDRipper found at www.magicdvdripper.com. You can run the trial 5 times so I suggest before shutting out the program to do all the movies you can. When you do it, under the output folder click on Profile and click more profiles. There will be a Disney MixMax option choose that one, rename your title and pick your destination folder and then click start it will do the rest. When finished just copy and past the movie to either your player or to a SD card. Good Luck, I hope this helped. Please rate me, Thank you.

Puting videos on

The Mix Max isn't an MP4 player. It's an MP3/WMA audio player and WMV (Windows Media Video) player. Even if you do put MP4's on the same way you put your music on it won't even know it's there. The videos have to be in WMV format to begin with and then they have to be properly encoded for play on it.

How do you put movies dvds and videos on your mix max mp3 player?

I think I've covered this one before... not sure though so here we go...
First of all DVD's are copyrighted and digitally encoded so that they can't be copied to your computer or other devices. Windows Media Player can't rip them because of this encoding. Not only that if you were somehow able to copy it to the player the Mix Max can't play DVD formatted videos, it can only play WMV (Windows Media Video) formatted videos that are properly "encoded" for play on the Mix Max.
Check out the link below for how to properly encode your videos for play on the Mix Max.

I inserted the disk that came with the mix max player and you click the install tab and all that comes up is a bunch of jiberish that makes no sense. we are also still trying to find a place to purchase...

The disk that came with it doesn't seem to work for me with Windows Vista. Instead you can use it as a mass storage device.

The movies are hard to find. Try looking at http://store.digiblue.com/category_s/32.htm. That is the wedsite for the manufacturer. Also try Disney shopping.com.

How do you put movies dvds and videos on your mix max mp3 player?

Ok these are the directions from start to finish.

You need Prism Video Converter and Windows Media Encoder 9 series. You can google both and download for free. You use Prism Video Converter to convert AVI or whatever file to WMV and then use Windows Media Encoder 9 Series to convert the WMV file to a WMV9 file. I know its stupid but if you follow my directions it will work and it cheaper then buying the individual cartridges. Once you have these installed do the following.

Click and open up Prism Video Convertor.

Click to "ADD FILES" on top toolbar. Find and choose the movie you want to convert and double click on the movie and it will add it to the list. Add all the movies that you want to convert. Each one takes about an hour.

At the bottom choose a different output folder. Then scroll through the OUTPUT FORMAT tab at the bottom and choose. .WMV

Click on ENCODER OPTIONS and change everything to the following:
Video Compressor------ Windows Media Video 9
Video bit rate ------------- 4096
Sound Compressor ----- Windows Media Audio 9.2
Sound Format ------------ 128 kbps,48 kHz Stereo CBR

Press ok and then click on VIDEO OUTPUT OPTIONS and change everything to the following
Make sure that there is a check next to RESIZE VIDEO "Shrink or enlarge video to selected size."
Width---- 220
Height --- 176

Make sure that there is a check next to CHANGE FRAMERATE
30.00

Click on OK and then CONVERT when the movie is finished you can move on to the next step

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 2

Open Windows Media Encoder 9

click on COVERT A FILE and press OK

Then choose your source file ( the movie you just converted with Prism)

Then Choose a new output file like make a new folder and name it MIX MAX MOVIES and click ok

On the next screen just press ok. Don't worry about the setting at this point because we will change them later.

Name the movie. and click ok and FINISH

Once the converter starts press the STOP button on the top toolbar., its RED, a window will pop up, click CLOSE to close the window. Then at the top of the converter click on the PROPERTIES tab. A window will pop open. Click on the COMPRESSION tab in the middle of several tabs. Click EDIT on the right hand side of the COMPRESSION window.

Now you should see 2 tabs. A GENERAL tab and a 259kbps tab

On the GENERAL TAB change everything to the following:

Make sure Video and Audio are both checked
Audio CBR Windows Media Audio 9.2
Video CBR Windows Media Video 9

Click the 259kbps tab and change to the following. ( If you see something I don't mention here THEN DON'T CHANGE IT )

Audio Format 128 kbps, 48 (NOT 44) kHz Stereo CBR
Video Size 220X176
Frame Rate 30
Key Frame Interval 2 sec
Video Bit Rate 384K (this is a little tricky. MAKE SURE IT SAYS 384K)
Buffer Size 5 sec
Video Smoothness 0
Decoder Complexity Simple

for a total of 521.02

CLICK APPLY and wait a few seconds for it to apply and then START ENCODING on top toolbar. When this movie is finished it will play on your MIX MAX, if it still says that the FILE IS NOT SUPPORTED then you have to go into the setting on the max and change the mass storage setting. There are 2 choices can't remember off hand what they are but choose the opposite one obviously and try again. Also you actually have to go to the movies or video tab on the max player not NOW PLAYING cuz that button is pointless.

any problems email me @ cera1756@gmail.com

I have converted many movies that have worked on both our players so if you follow these directions correctly there shouldn't be a problem.

ENJOY
