Re: games

Jax, Have they ever worked well on your machine? Has this just started occurring? Your processor may be too slow for some of the games. Have you tried toning down on some of the video features. Try unloading items from startup to save system resources for the game. Try(not while online) disabling virus protection. Your machine may think its within the system recommendations but with extra progams and virus spyware programs running, microsoft updates its a different ball of wax. I upgrade P III's all the time. They run really fast...until all the updates are applied, programs are installed and startup gets filled with un-needed programs starting for usually no "good" reason. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim

CONNECT 3D RADEON 9550 256MB display problem

That graphics card i'm afraid is not good for todays games, same thing goes for your pentium 4. A driver update may fix your problem but that card and cpu need changing, probably a new motherboard would be needed also to fit a pci express graphics card along with a core 2 duo processor.

Slow Graphic Acceleration

i play WoW and i recommend you get at least 2Gig memory and with that card you need to run the game in low settings. The 5200 series card is not high end gaming card. If you have pci express slot i highly recommend a 9600GT. But first upgrade to 2Gig RAM

A fix problem when playing any games like EA Sports FIFA 2007

Problems with this kind of "PC Freeze" or Hang Up when oppening
games or 3D accelerated applications are you dont know what part
of your PC is failing... many of this problems are very hard to fix...
first of all it might be a power supply problem.. take note that it gives the proper current for your pc to work, therefore a failing PSU
will make your PC freeze... another one is your motherboard, if you have a faulty motherboard it might make your pc freeze... this might be a video card problem too... maybe your video card is overheating or it can also have conflict with your built in VGA
try disabling your Built in VGA... try cleaning your pc with dust and try to run it again... and last is your sound card... it might have conflicts on your onboard sound chip... try disabling it at your BIOS... as ive told you its complicated because you will never be sure what part of your pc is causing the problem...
and also check if your pc is overheating...

top 5 problems are
1. Power Supply is Failing
2. Video Card is overheating
3. Faulty Motherboard
4. Your PC is overheating
5. Hardware conflicts

i wish you good luck and i hope my reply helped... :)

Computer and video card memory/ram

Hello there.

Answers to questions are reported on the website.
Graphics card memory is independent of main system memory. Your graphics card has 256MB of memory dedicated to graphical tasks, such as playing videos, games and animations. Main system memory is seperate and is used for loading programs and applications.

New graphics cards will have even more memory, so to answer your question: no video memory on the graphics card does not have to match main system memory in the computer.

Possible times when main system ram is used by the graphics card is when the graphics hardware is integrated into the motherboard. Please click here to find out more about graphics video memory.

Hope this helps.
