Question about VeriFone PINPad 1000SE Network Terminal
All of sudden my pinpad refuses to work now, don't have any idea what happened. will take debit card all the way to entering pin #, then flashes no dkey. have run diagnostics with merchant processor and they are telling me, i will have a buy a new pinpad. this thing isn't a year old, but has no warranty thru BBT bank who is my processor
The encryption that is loaded on the pin pad is wiped out; this may have happened when powering off the terminal, unplugging the pin pad without unplugging the terminal power source first. What you would have to find out is what platform you are on from your processor, if they are not willing to do it, you can contact companies that will reprogram your pin pad. This will be cheaper than to buy another pin pad.

What has happened is that, somehow, the memory in the unit has gotten wiped clean. The only way to get the keys back into the unit is to have it reprogrammed at the processor's main office. They may not offer that service. Yep, they have you over a barrel. Buy a new unit.
