My ps3 controller wont connect. i hit the ps button and all 4 lights on controller start blinking. ps3 is hoked to tv with a hdmi cord and it says no signal.

Hey there,
You just need to sync your controller with your ps3. To do so, use the USB cable that plugs into the controller and into a usb port of your ps3.
You will then be able to start your ps3 and push that ps3 button on your controller, once the ps3 has started, and you'll be good to go.

Try pressing the reset button, located on the back of the controller, with a safety pin. Press and hold it for a few seconds. If this doesn't work, try new controllers. If that is not effective, you will need to have your Playstation 3 diagnosed by a technician. Your ports may be going bad.
Keep in mind, you must be using usb cables that are compatible. Not any cord will work.

how many gigs is your PS3 and are you using a offical PS3 usb plug and is your controller a real PS3 Sony controller or one of those mad catz controller. If it is not the USB plug that came with the PS3 that could be one problem, if its not a real Sony PS3 controller that could be one and if your PS3 is less than 60gig dont play or watch any thing on it when you plug in the controller

PS3 controller Problem

I just fixed mine. The controller itself needs to be reset. There is a reset button on the back of the controller, above the top right hand corner of the square with all on the information and barcode. Press it with a sharp tipped object while still connected to the PS3 via USB cable. Then press the PS button and you should be back on wirelessly.
