I tried what Reynolds recommended but problem remains unsolved. I think the CCD or processor has had it. These things are not meant to last forever but Canon will not tell you that! Canon charges just to look at your camera to see what problem is + repairs. When you get the camera repaired, you don't know if it is as good as new. Pot luck! All up, better to buy a new camera which is what I did. Samsung Digimax S500 5 megapixels - provided you have a steady hand, photos come out beautiful. Functions very similar to Canon but better. Video is much better too. Cost AUD$217. Forget the stress and Canon (they didn't want to help). Try a new brand and you will be pleasantly surprised. Night scene and other functions comes out beautiful too. Good luck!

1. Check batteries.
2. Connect camera to an AC adapter.
3. Remove all batteries, disconnect AC adapter, wait a minute, reinsert batteries and reconnect adapter. Turn on camera.

the inside of screen is cracked and the lady at kodak said i could send it in and kodak would fix it for free.

Whenever i try to turn my camera on, the green light comes on but the screen is blank.Sometimes it turns on and it Freezes. CAN YOU HELP ME FIX IT?

I have had the same problem with the dmc-fx07. Wouldn't turn on all of a sudden. Now it powers up sometimes and works fine; other times it doesn't work at all. I suspect the problem might be the SD card. I sent my camera back to the repair center and they found no problems with it. I don't know; it still doesn't work. Please let me know if you find anything.

This is the second time i sent my camera to be repaired. The first time,I tried everything it didn't work,so i sent the product back to HP. Then hp sent me a brand new camera and after few use, the same problem happened again. I was really upset, i am asking the shop where i bought it to refund me.

These camera's require Alkaline batteries only, do not use standard Zinc Carbon as these will not be suffice.

Camera one month old. Won't turn on. I put in new batteries but power will still not come on. When I push the power button the red access light comes on briefly but that's it. What is wrong??

same problem - green light shows but nothing in viewing screen. I do find that removing and replacing battery helps but worry that the camera will just stop altogether. Ours is about 18 months old, well used and loved so disappointed that this is happening. Any other tips would be much appreciated.

So there I am, taking a little video, and turn it off for a few minutes, only to have it not turn on anymore. I recharged the battery, and nothing. Its only about 5 months old.. =[

camera won't turn on, green light blinks once when supposedly powered up. Tried two different batteries and neither worked, but worked in other camera. When stronger battery put in to camera, green light blinks on and off until camera is "shuut off"

Camera was working fine until l took a flash picture and the flash lamp appeared to blow with a popping noise. now the camers is jammed open and will not switch on. Camera model ex-z1050 any ideas

With a fully charged battery I cannot get the camera's lense to extend nor open, actually it is now sitting at about 1/8 of an inch out, and will neither go in nor come out completely.

Camera is 3 months old. Turn on camera, the zoom shoots out, and then goes back and turns the camera off. I have tried many times.

When power switch is pressed, a bleep sounds then a message a message appears on the screen saying "turn off and on again. Power then cuts out. Help : )

When I turn the camera on, the "world image" flashes for about 1/4 of a second then the screen goes blank. I can view all of the pictures taken, but the camera will not display the screen for a new picture. Polaroid i5331. I have removed the batteries for several minutes, then returned them with the same results.

If I press the power button on my camera, the lens comes out and the Finepix thing comes onto the screen, but then the screen turns off and the lens stays out. The lens cannot move all the way into the camera.

I was going through the manual and operating the camera to
test all its features when suddenly it shutdown when i turned the knob to the
GUIDE function. The Optical Zoom lens is extended and even if i tried turning it
off and on nothing happened. The battery is fully charged, although the camera
had been on for about 20 minutes when it shutdown. now it doesn't want to turn on and a red light just keeps on flashing. what do i do? please please reply

Hi Guys!
I cannot use my Olympus micro mini anymore to take pictures. Its lense doesn't come out and there is this non stop robotic sound every time I turn it on. Though its camera and video mode doesn't work anymore, its play mode which is use to view taken photos is still working. Please help me on this guys. I already tried to fully charge and pull out the battery and wait for few minutes then return it back and then turn it on. But still, it won't work. I also tried to reformat the unit but still, it won't work. Thanks in advance for your response.

I have a DSC-W55 sony cyber shot camera.
Yesturday it was working fine.
But it wouldnt turn on later that day.
