Gas valve not opening? Does it have the exhaust blower that pulls vacuum switch allowing burner to light?
(1) Thermostat not working? Has to complete the circuit in or gas valve to open.
(2)Can be a stuck or bad gas valve. Try tapping the side of the gas valve body while thermostat is calling for heat. Tapping, not pounding. Like lightly, yannow? don-ohio (:^)

My ignitor works but not the bunners

The draft fan is supposed to come on then the ignitor comes on then after 30 seconds the burners supposed to ignite. At that point you should check and see if voltage is being sent to the gas valve solenoid. If you getting volts there with the glowbar on then you need a new gas valve unless you forgot to pay the gas bill.

Maytag Prec touch 750 lower oven takes too long to preheat

This is a common problem that happens when the oven gas control valve is sticking. This can be caused by a weak hot surface igniter or a defective gas control valve. One thing that you can try(be very careful doing this) is to give the gas control valve a light tap with something hard like a wrench when the oven is turned on,igniter is glowing but the burner is not on. You will need to remove the broiler/storage drawer at the bottom of the oven. Once you pull the drawer out you should see the gas control valve at the back of the range. Try turning on the oven and lightly tapping the valve housing. This may loosen up any debris inside the control valve housing that might be causing the problem. If the oven burner comes on then try completely turning the oven on and back of several times. And when I say completely I mean turn it on after the igniter is not glowing and burner has shut off. This works about 30% of the time. If the burner control valve stick after trying this procedure then it could be the control valve and/or the hot surface igniter defective. The hot surface igniter would need to be disconnected from it's harness and tested with an OHM meter. Most igniters should have a 500 to 700 OHM reading. If you get a reading that is way off then the igniter is defective and replace it. If the igniter tests good then the gas control valve is suspect and replace it. Most appliance parts retailers will test your igniter for free. When the igniter is on it should glow very brightly. If it is dim then that is a sure sign it is bad.

yes the igniter is not calling for enough amps to open the control valve, the igniter needs to be repalced.

Have igniter, but no flame.

Ok first thing you need to verify is that the gas valve is on at the connector and there is gas pressure. Then verify that there is no restriction on the flexible gas line(kinked) or any PTFE tape or pipe dope stuck in the connection restricting gas flow. Then make sure that the appliance gas regulator is installed in the right direction and not installed backwards(if it is backwards you will get no gas). Also you might find a valve located on the regulator called a runaway valve(looks like a small clip) is off. Verify that the run-away valve is on. This valve will **** off gas to the oven burner. Then verify that there is no tape or debris covering the burner orfice or assembly. And when the burner igniter is glowing brightly try giving the gas control valve a tap(it might be sticikng). If it lights after you tap it re-try the oven several times to make sure it is working.

Dometic 2811 gas/AC refrigerator poor operation on gas mode.

Your gas valve is sticking. Could be a bad thermocouple.
Set it to come on, then with a screwdriver handle or something similar, tap, tap, tap gently on the gas valve to see if it lights.
Once it unsticks it should operate OK.
If it does not unstick, replace the gas valve.

The oven won't light.

jeff, i read your other ? here and i think you probably have a weak ignitor. does the ignitor glow orange?
if it does, or i should say when it does, just tap lightly on the gas valve and see if that causes the gas to flow into the burner and then light.
you can use the handle of a screwdriver to tap with and it wont need to much force.
if this does work, then just replace the ignitor. when they get weak they will glow, but wont draw enough current thru the gas valve to allow it to open. your valve does get voltage but it opens when enough current draw opens the bi-metal portion of the valve to allow gas to flow.
if you have no glow, then its a whole different problem. to be addressed in next comments.

Black is on the burners

the fuel to air mixture is set incorrectlty or your pressure at the ouitlet for the gas valve is too low.
you culd play around adjusting the first part of this but for the gas valve part you have to have a manaometer to check it out correctly. then it should be set at 10"wc. Good Luck
