When starting a new cycle, the delay timer comes on without wanting to delay the wash. I have t cancel the delay timer and then the wash starts and an audiable beeping occurs during the entire wash cycle.

  • tolsma Dec 13, 2008

No, the F2 error code appears after the cycle is completely finished.

  • tolsma Dec 15, 2008

Thanks for trying...I cleaned the pumps and they were clean and had nothing inside of them. I also cleaned the strainers from the hoses and they were very clean. I have a repair man coming out tormorrow and will post a comment on what to do in order to fix this problem should someone else have to deal with it. Again thanks.

"F02" is a Long Drain error. The following link exlplains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

All that is required in many cases is to clean the drain pump reservoir and verify the drain lines are clear. However, it does not take much to cause irreparable damage to these small drain pumps. Just because you can hear the pump running does not mean it is working properly. The pump motor and impeller can become damaged and not pump at the proper volume. If your efforts to clean the pump result in a persistent error code, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drain pump.

If you require a replacement drain pump, I have found these websites to be some of the best for parts: searspartsdirect.com, repairclinic.com, pcappliancerepair.com and appliancepartspros.com. They all provide great service, so shop around and do some comparative pricing.

I hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you require additional assistance.

I thought you had an "F02" error code as you stated in your initial question? Is this a new problem?

"Thanks for Trying?" Have you tried any of the advice given? I'm familiar with this washer and know how to correct the error code you said you were getting. You never provided any follow up as to anything you might have tried to resolve that issue, first. Instead, you mentioned you has an additional problem with the control panel. Any thoughts or feedback can go a long way towards trying to assist you rather than leaving adverse ratings with no comments.

I have a Maytag Epic z, electric. They dryer turns on but not heat

Instructions

Dryer
1

Examine the household fuses or circuit breakers if the unit is not working, as the Epic z dryer uses more than one circuit or fuse. Replace or reset as necessary. Use a power outlet with 240 volts or more, which you can determine with a volt meter.
2

Close the Epic z door firmly and press the "Power" button for at least one second if the dryer has power but isn't working. If there is no heat, verify that you selected a heat dry option.

Look inside the dryer for objects that may have fallen out of pockets if there is a clicking or thumping noise. Examine the drum edges and remove items if possible. Separate pieces of clothing inside the dryer if the items got tangled together, and reduce the load size if necessary.
4

Tighten the legs on the dryer if the unit is rocking side to side during use. All four legs should touch the floor evenly. Adjust as needed.
5

Press and hold "Start" if a "PF" (power failure) error code appears. If the code persists, press "Power" and then a new cycle selection.
6

Contact Maytag for help if an error code with an "E" and a number appears on the display.
Washer
7

Ensure the Epic z washing machine is plugged into a grounded three-prong outlet if it doesn't start. Shut the lid firmly and press a wash cycle before selecting "Start." Select "Start/Pause" if an error code appears on the display and unplug the unit for several minutes. Reconnect power and choose a new cycle before pressing "Start."
8

Verify that the hose connections are tight on both ends and only high-efficiency (HE) detergent is being used if the washer is leaking. Do not open the washer lid during the wash cycle, as water can deflect off items and splash out of the washing machine.
9

Select "Rinse and Drain/Spin" if the door does not unlock. This removes any excess water from the washer tub. If "Add a Garment" is illuminated, select "Start/Pause" to unlock the door.
10

Verify that you placed the correct detergent in the correct dispenser if the dispenser is clogged or is not dispensing as expected. Wipe out the dispenser drawer with a damp cloth and dry it before adding the correct detergent.
11

Leave the door open after use (if small children and/or pets are not present) if the washer smells badly. Place a laundry cleaning tablet, available at grocery and hardware stores, into the washer and set the washer to the highest temperature wash possible to clean the unit.
Both Units
12

Set a piece of 3/4-inch plywood under the washer or dryer (or both if stacked) if the machine is thumping or vibrating or the floor seems too weak to support the unit(s).
13

Tighten the feet on the unit and make sure all four feet are level on the ground if there is vibrating or thumping during use.
14

Do not connect the washer or dryer to an extension cord, as extension cords cannot supply the power necessary for the unit(s).

Maytag Epic Z Washer F-20, Water Inlet replaced, still F-20 Error

Chris an F-20 is usually a clogged filter on duet washers. Did you go by the tech sheet in your machine? It gives the codes and remedys and is in a jacket behind the kickplate which you remove to get to the filter. You will need a quarter inch nutdriver to gain access.

Dryer cycle of Hirundo WDC1026 won't start

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance. For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ... PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs. If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow. Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

May tag Neptune showing codes

Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.

Do
Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and restart the washing cycle.

FL
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.

Sd
The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.

PF
The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred. Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.

Nd
The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them before restarting the washing cycle.

LO
The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back into the electrical outlet.

Lr
The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced by a certified Maytag repair professional. Maytag Neptune Priority One Service: (888) 462-9824

NF
The "nF" code appears when the washing machine has tried to fill with water and has failed. Verify that the inlet hoses aren't kinked and that the faucets are fully open.

Od
The "od" code appears when you must open the washer door. The Maytag Neptune washer requires that you open the door between cycles.

Other Codes
* If your Maytag Neptune washing machine displays any codes that are not listed above, contact Maytag Neptune Priority One Service for assistance. Maytag Neptune Priority One Service: (888) 462-9824

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

Machine will not agitate during rinse cycle of normal wash.

The brake is part of the mechanism to function the spinning. The agitation is another mechanism to function in the other direction of the same motor. This mechanism is below of the other. The helix part needs to replace to fix this. This should be done when you change the brake. Of course this is a result from the brake change since you have take this apart before you can get in the spinning mechanism. It is good that now you don't have to touch the spinning mechanism, but only the agitation mechanism. It is not from the tight belt. Hope this can help.

I turn the dishwasher on normal wash and never stop washing i let it run for 2 hours and stiil running

Your dish washer probably has a "turbidity sensor". This is an infrared sensor that checks the condition of the water and adjusts your wash cycle accordingly. There is probably build up on the sensor (especially if you have hard water) and this is causing it to run so long. The easiest fix for this is to run a cleaning cycle on the dishwasher. Start your empty dish washer on a heavy wash cycle and wait for it to start filling with water. As soon as it starts to fill, open the door and pour 1/2 gallon of white vinegar into the bottom of the unit. Close the door and let it run its cycle. At the end of the cycle, run a second cycle and see if things improved. If things still are not better, you may have a bad sensor. If you have more questions, write me back. Hope this helps!

My Kenmore Elite keeps stopping during washing cyle and gives a message of F2

"F02" is a Long Drain error code. This indicates that you have an obstruction in the drainage system. More than likely you probably have a clog in the drain pump. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Included is a follow-on link that explains how to check the drain pump to clean. You may also have to remove the inlet hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. Debris can commonly clog in this area as well causing the drain cycle to fail.

If you have any questions about this repair, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: If these preliminary measures do not correct your problem, you may have to replace the drain pump. It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced.

The control panel stays lit after cycle ends. it won't shut off and beeps several times during cycle

Hello grumpy 96
Welcome,

You said, the control panel stays lit after cycle ends. it won't shut off and beeps several times during cycle

First try Pressing STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
If this does not do the trick.

Sounds like we need to try to reset the system!

Huuum At your service!
Lets try this,
Like with an error code.
This can reset the system if it is electronic!
Unplug the appliance and wait a 5 minutes then restart it.
If you can't reach the plug, use the breaker to cut the power for 5 minutes.

It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious.
Or they are sometimes just a glitch.

Let me know how it works!
Waiting for your reply!

Please remember to leave a rating when you are done!
Thank You
Huuum
