Question about Saeco Royal Digital Plus Coffee Maker/Espresso Machine
Intermittent problem. After pressing the button/s for a coffee the grinder continues to grind beans and the grinding simply drop into the overflow tray below the brew unit.
Has been happening for a few years. Only solution I have found is to remove the brew unit and give it a good shake. The unit is clean and serviced regularly.
thedalys. you probably have a bad micro switch on your doser. and that just needs to be replaced. If the grinder does not sense that the doser box is full it will keep grinding until it times out.
Guest. Try pulling the dosage lever back one click from the full and push your grind lever to the largest # and see if that helps. Sounds like you grinds are too fine and its clogging the the grind box. If the dosage level is too full it will cycle and dump the brew unit or break the brew drive gears, then you will hear a clicking noise when it trys to make a coffee.
