H700 loses-establishes-loses connection

My H700 loses-establishes-loses connection with my Blackberry 8100 Pearl. Sometimes it stays connected - most of the time, though, its been doing this lose-establish-lose connection loop that makes it impossible to sustain a conversation.

  1. Turn on the bluetooth on your phone
  2. With boom mic closed push and hold the call button for 5 seconds and the light will turn purple
  3. Then open the boom mic while simultaneously pushing your phone button to find new device.
  4. Your phone should then locate the H700
  5. It will ask for passkey which default is 0000.

Hi

  1. I would suggest to try the bluetooth headset with another phone to see if the issue is with the headset or the phone.
  2. Also if possible try another headset with the phone.
These two steps will help to narrow down the problem.

If the headset works fine on another phone, the problem is either in your blackberry, but if another set works with your berry then there is a problem between the two and I suggest to use another headset.

If another headset doesn't work either, or does the same thing, then the issue is in your phone.

I would suggest

  1. Hard reset
  2. Software upate
  3. Contact for service

I can't sync my motorola h700c with my blackberry

1. Bluetooth enabled?
2. Options -> Bluetooth -> Add Device

Hold down the connect button on headset until steady purple light comes on, then open the boom.

Search for Bluetooth devices on the blackberry. When asked for a pin, use "0000". Now the H700 will show up in the Bluetooth device list, but it will not connect. Put the headset in pairing mode again, this time go to the h700 listed on the blackberry and select connect. Now the devices will work as normal. When you open the boom on the h700, it will connect to the blackberry.

I'm not familiar with Bluetooth and Blackberry's but I think you need a driver or you need to "sync" your media player on your Blackberry with your headphones.

I'll do some research and get back to you.

You may have to get a bluetooth headset specifically used with Ericson or change bluetooth setting on your cell to handsfree

Pairing blkberry w/ h700

Hold down the call from an off position until the button lights up in purple color. Flips open the microphone boom. The purple light stays on. Click OK to start the pairing with Blackberry Pearl. When asked for passkey, key in 4 zeroes then press enter. Pairing should be complete from this point.

Motorola H700 Problems with BB Pearl 8100

Steps to pair a H700 headset with any bleutooth pone:

  1. Make sure the H700 fully chared (very important)!!
  2. Make sure the microphone boom is folded closed, i.e. power is off!
  3. Hold the call button for 1-5 seconds until the light is steady lit purple
  4. Flip out the microphone boom, the light should stay lit purple!

Now you are ready to pair the headset with your phone, so follow the pairing instructions of your phone.

Note: When prompted for the Passkey; it is most likely 0000 but the correct Passkey should be on the headset accessory instructions.

I must add that indeed my headset on occation (once or twice every three months) also loses its connection with the blackberry (a 8703e) . At which time I have to remove the headset from my phone bluetooth device list, and start the above described steps to pair my headset with the phone again.

Place the unit headset back in pairing mode by holding the call button for 1 to 5 seconds until the light turns purple. Then open the boom. Then try to reconnect .
