What size SD card does my camera support?

My daughter has a JVC GR-D395u digital video camera. What size SD card does the camera support? Will the new SDHC format work? I have read through the manual...page 26 of the manual has a chart showing the approximate number of pictures for 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, and 64MB SD cards.

Just bought a used JVC GR-HD1 camcorder. Bought two new SanDisk SDHC 8GB memory card. When I press "record" I get a "card error" message with both of them. Are they the wrong type of...

This camera can not use an SD card of that size. Just like with any computer intergraded hardware, they have to write parameters of that day into the operating system of the device. They can not just leave it "open ended" to allow any size that might be available in the future. I believe the maximum is 1GB of standard SD speed (as in not the max of ultra speeds). 1GB would be more than enough at the resolution this camera will store still frames (it can not store video on SD cards). This is from personal experience with my own GR-HD1U.

I have a GR_D90 Camcorder- it will not read the memory card-New 16gig-SD card what shall I do? will the recorder still work if the card does not? where can I get replacement CD-rom for this camcorder?

According to the manual, the GR-D90 works with MMC or SD cards. Your new 16GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card. While SDHC cards will fit into an SD slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. SD cards max out at 2GB in size.

Do JVC GR-D33US Mini DV record video on memory card?

Yes. You can use any MMC or SD card. Be sure you get an SD card, not an SDHC card, if you go this route.

Your video camera supports SD and MMC cards according to the user manual but the card has to be of max. 2 GB. Any brand should be supported because it's a standard.

_how many gig is the SD card

SD cards can come is various sizes, you should be able to read the volume on the card.
You can get up to 64 gig on a card but bear in mind not all cameras to use these newer cards.
The camera manual will tell you what size and speed is required for best operation.

Jvc gr-d395u video camcorder, move mini dv to computer

How it's supposed to work is to get a program that recognizes the camera, then the tape can be captures. Windows Movie Maker never supported it. In fact Microsoft doesn't even support it anymore. They have recommended using Pinncale Studio to work with DV cameras.

Once you install Studio, put the tape in, turn the camera on, Studio will load up.

Connection to the PC

In order to connect your GR-D70US to your USB port, you must insert an MMC or SD memory card into the camera, however neither of these cards is included with the GR-D70US, and the card must be purchased separately. You may contact the JVC parts department at 1-800-882-2345 or visit the JVC online accessory store to purchase a MMC or SD memory card. Some local retailers may also carry these memory cards.
