Re: how do i check my voicemail?
You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

It's not in the manual for the good reason that the AT&T 992 isn't an answering machine. If you want to record an outgoing voicemail greeting, you'll have to do it on the voicemail system, not on the phone. If you need instructions on how to do that, you'll have to tell us the make and model of the voicemail system or answering machine.

It sounds like what you are looking for is to rerecord the AutoAttendant. This is a VoiceMail function, which is a separate card or box connected to the PBX cabinet. Check the manual for your voicemail on how to login as admin, or call the local Vodavi tech for a service call.
Look in the manual about the voicemail indicator. It may need certain services not available in all areas. Ask your phone provider if that is the case. Mainly, your phone has a voicemail. so dialing 1-800-VOICEMAIL is different that pressing the message play button locally on the machine. If you dial a phone number to check your messages, that is the problem. The messages are on your phone, and/or your voicemail service. If you have a dial in voice mailbox, disable the built in voicemail on the phone. email me firstname.lastname@example.org if you need a link to the online manual or any other help
