SOURCE: I have a JVC HDD Camcorder GZ-MG135AA.

The best solution is to send the product back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. If you have a receipt for the product and its within the warranty period (1 year) they will do this free of charge. I can help you with the process.

SOURCE: JVC Everio GZ-360BU Camera Temperature is Too Low - Keep Power On??

I'm an English guy with the same problem... What you do is keep the power on for a long time, or you charge it up with the charger. Trust me. However, it is very rare for this to occur. There should be a message saying: "Temperature is too low, keep power on." There should be another message reading: "Turn off power and turn on again to check if camera is fully-functional. Thanks for giving me something to do while X-Plane downloads on my Mac OS X.

SOURCE: camera temp is too low keep camera power on pls.

Stop making your movies in the freezer my friend, try going in doors, Hard Drive cameras are only good for proper temp filming, that is why most proper cameramen still stick to 8mm tapes.

After one or two uses a AA battery no longer powers the camera

Check contacts of the batteries and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.
Always charge the batteries before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera.
Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In most cases, alkaline batteries have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended.
Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in your camera. They can't deliver enough power and can start leaking, causing damage to your camera.

I just bought a Polaroid 300 and the low battery lights keep blinking, I've put 3 sets of new batteries in it and the lights still blink. Anything else I can do?

Always be sure the batteries are charged.
Insert the batteries correct plus to plus and minus to minus. Only one battery the wrong way around and the camera won't work. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.

It likes to kill batteries, even new ones.

Unfortunately there is no real solution to this problem other than keeping extra batteries to switch out for the dead ones if you are shooting for a while. Here is what your camera's manual has to say about short battery life:

The battery run time is brief. You are using the camera in a cold environment. Battery performance deteriorates in low temperatures. Keep the camera warm by putting it inside your coat or clothing. - The remaining battery power is not indicated correctly. When battery consumption fluctuates considerably, the camera may turn off without displaying the battery

Will not stay on.. turns on and then beeps once and turns off.. the battery is fully charged

Welcome to FixYa.

There are three reasons why your camera power ceases while in use.

* The Battery is exhausted
- insert a charged battery or recharged the battery
* The camera is turned off automatically
- turn on the camera power again
* Operation has ceased in a low temperature outside of the camera usage temperature range
- make sure the camera and battery warm by placing them in your pocket, etc. and then immediately before shooting, place the battery in the camera and then shoot.

In your case, posible will be the 3rd reason. If you still having the same issue after doing the troubleshooting. I also suggest to removed and re-insert the battery and try to switch it on again.

If this option wont work, you have to contact your service center.

I will be more happy to know if my solution will help you or not on your issues on your camera.
Feel free to reply on this for any question or comments.

Camera Temperature

mine is an everio gz-mg37u and i get that same bulls*** on the screen at every power up. First I tried waiting a while then switching all the switches between camera and video mode, record and watch mode, etc. and one time it worked and the message went away. Haven't been able to do that since.

Now what I do is turn it on, wrap it in a blanket, leave it about 10 minutes, then turn the power off and on again. Works fine for me, and if I turn it off and then turn it back on within a few minutes before it cools down, it works fine. There has to be a messed up sensor in this thing that I can desolder somewhere......

Getting great pictures

Here are some tips for taking great pictures with your PDC 700 camera: * Keep the sun behind you or at your side. Avoid having the sun directly overhead. * Use the Flash On setting if there is a light behind your subject. * In low light conditions, use a tripod to avoid camera movement during exposure. * When possible, take pictures when the temperature is between 13C (55F) and 35C (95F). Temperatures outside this range can affect battery performance. * Keep the subject within the flash range of 18 in. to 10 ft. (0.45m to 3m.) * Avoid shooting toward reflective objects, which can result in "hot spots" in your pictures. If you cannot avoid shooting toward reflective objects, use the Flash On setting . * Periodically clean the lens, the LED area on the front of the camera, and the LCD display on the back of the camera. Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use cleaning solutions or chemically treated tissues.
