My approach would be to record it to hard drive first, then edit tracks, then copy to virtual CD; then just copy from virtual to real CD. You can edit the audio tracks using 'CoolEdit Pro' or other software first.
Before following the suggestions given below please make sure that you have the latest firmware for your DVD burner drive. Please contact your vendor or visit the manufacturer's website for the latest updates.
Please follow the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue:
1) Empty the contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. Then empty Recycle Bin.
2) Defragment your hard drive. DVD video files are very large and can quickly fill your hard drive to capacity. A fragmented hard drive can cause problems during DVD burning. Make sure to defragment your drive(s) regularly.
3) To avoid any compatibility issues, please close all other software and utility applications including virus scans, screen saver and instant messaging software before you launch PowerDirector.
4) Increase Virtual memory :
1. Right click on "MyComputer" 2. Select Properties -> Advance 3. Click on "settings" under Performance. 4. Select "Advance" 5. Click on "change" under Virtual memory. 6. Select "Custom" and enter initial value as "512" and Max value as "3096".
NOTE: If your existing settings are higher than recommended then leave them as before.
5) Please check whether the drive where you have installed Power Director software has enough space on it. At least 15 GB of free space is required and recommended while burning a DVD.
Now, try to burn the DVD at low burning speed.
If the issue still persists, try to uninstall other CD/DVD burning software like Nero, EasyCD Creator, Direct CD etc. Two burning software installed on same computer are known to cause conflict due to common files in them.
Also disable the XP built-in burning software. To disable the Windows built-in burning software: - Open My Computer. - Right-click your CD-RW or DVD drive and click Properties. - Select the Recording tab. - Remove the check mark from the 'Enable CD recording on this drive' check box. - Click OK.
Also make sure that the total size of the video does not exceed the disc limit. (It is recommended that the total size should be less than 4.3 GB)
Now, close all other software and utility applications and then try the 'Create a DVD folder' option in the burning options screen and let us know of the result.
If the DVD folder is burned successfully, then the issue is burner specific and not software specific.
If the issue still not resolved, you may need to reinstall the Power Director software. Uninstall other burning softwares and then reinstall Power Director.
Follow the steps given below to reinstall your PowerDirector. Before installing your program, please close your MSN messenger, since we found that MSN messenger my lock some installation programs.

After you have slipstreamed the latest service pack 3 and all hotfixesin order to use this to perform a new install you will need to eitherburn a new CD or use the ISO mounted to perform it using a VirtualMachine for testing purposes.
The easiest way is to use Nero Burning ROM to create a Bootable CD you will need to follow these instructions
Obtain the Microsoft Corporation Bootable image file (IMG) extract and save it using ISOBuster from an ISO image of the original Windows CD
Open NeroROM and select CD-ROM Bootable option then select the image file you extracted in 1.
Make the window look like the screen dump below, ensure that you select No Emulation and change the Load Segment ofsectors to #07C0 and the No.of Loaded sectors to 4
Then select New
You will need to add all the files from the folder that you have just slipstreamed the SP3 + post hotfixes
I suggest that you save the project as GRTMHOEM_EN forWindows XP Home and GRTMPROF_EN for the Professional Version so thatyou can use it later for the same folder
Press Burn, I suggest low burn speed X4 when using the Nero ASPI or create an ISO using Nero and the burn it using Patin-Couffin Interface option on ImageBurn with my AWS that includes 80% of all readily available media.
If you are prompted to insert a CD/DVD blank disc into the Burner, you must have the proper UNUSED CD or DVD blank disk. You must use the SIZE disc that corresponds to the Size of the Data to be burned. A CD is 700 Megs thus anything greater than 700 Megs needs a larger disc such as a DVD that is 4.7 Gigs. If the data you are trying to copy to a disc is over 4.7G you need a Dual Layer DVD or BluRay that accepts 25Gigs.
You should Save all the emailed photos to a folder (pre created) on your desktop or any place where you will easily find that folder. Click on the PAPER CLIP on the email and choose SAVE AS .... Then "save as" to that folder which you have created. Sometime people "insert" pictures instead of attach them to email messages. Those "inserted" ones you ..... Right click on each of them and then choose COPY.... Then go to the folder you have created earlier and (on any clean space in there" right click and choose PASTE. Once all that is done you go into the folder which you have created in the beginning. Go to EDIT at the top of the folder's menu. Choose SELECT ALL... then go to FILE on the top menu and choose (lower down) SENT TO and then in the next window that pops up you choose CD. Then a window will appear in the right bottom corner of your computer screen that says WRITE FILES TO CD.... Click on it and then of the menu on the left you must choose WRITE TO CD NOW... (something in that line) and it will (if you have a blank CD in the drive) start recording those pictures to the CD. REMEMBER a CD can only take 70 megabytes of data. So if you choose too many pictures it may tell you the DATA is too much to copy to the CD. a DVD can take over 4,000 megabyte of data ... So maybe rather use a blank DVD to do that
there are alot of kind of cd brand, like, maxwell. princo, ech.... use the common cds or dvd brand. may this cause of cd only. not good quality..otherwise chech your cd room drive. maybe the lins can recognise try to change another cd or dvd room for testing only.. befor you buy or changing totally..
