Problem for Acer Aspire 3000 (AS3004WLCI) PC Notebook
Acer's built in webcam
there is a webcam built into my acer laptop, but when i dont know how to connect it to my yahoo messenger, and use it for video chat on yahoo messenger. when i click to turn on the webcam on yahoo, it says "no webcam found on your computer"- any suggestions? please help.

Applogies if you have already done it, but you have to set up the cam in your IM programme first for recognition, but i have got an Acer with a built in cam at home so i will try mine later as haven't used it yet within a IM programmea and get back to you later with results.
Check you have the cam enabled and set up in your IM programme.

- I tried the cam in MSN Live and it started up with the stupid avatar faces, which i turned off and the cam worked within MSN.Check you have the cam enabled and set up in your IM programme.

Did you install the necessary drivers for the webcam. If not, use the CD that came with the laptop to install the drivers and then try to use it with Yahoo, etc..

i have inbuilt web cam in my acer4710z laptop,having windows xp as operating system.earlier my web cam was working with yahoo messanger,but my system was getting having problem again and again so i formated the system and again reinstall windows xp and yahoo messanger,but after that my web cam is working properly ,but when i try to use it with yahoo messanger,it just shows dark black screen

I have an acer aspire 5570 and has built in webcam that's not working for about three-four months. It's always prompting that it's being used by another application. So I uninstalled and reinstalled my webcam software but it cuntinues like that.
