Rheem pool heater

The display can be decieving when the remote function is turned off it will be in all caps like REM OFF but when it is on it will look like REM oFF. In the on mode the "off" is actually reading the heater mode is off (not pool or spa).

My heater is not turning on when the filter is on. Its screen says there is no water flow. The filter is a sand filter. It reads 12 pounds pressure. What do I need to do?

If you have 12 pounds of pressure at the heater, and it tells you you have no water flow, it is a problem with the water "pressure switch" I would normally list the part number and where the part can be found on the heater, but there was no model listed above so I can not tell you these things.
I will post a link here to all of JANDYs part manual, you will then be able to look up your model, find the part on the heater along with the part number, and order one.

Jandys web sire is down right now, but if you goto there is a link for their manual.

FYI the water pressure switch is almost always located just inside the heater cabinet on top of the inlet/outlet header (where water connections start/stop)

Heater shuts off and ILO shows on the screen

ILO stands for Ignition Lock Out.
This heater must be on a propane gas system as that is the only model that supports the ILO feature.
This either means that the gas supply is insufficient, or is turned off, OR...

the ignitor / flame rectifier have failed.

As long as you know that the pilot orifice is clean and free of debris, and the gas supply is turned on and correct, you simply need to purchase and install a new ignitor for this heater. I would normally list the part number and a place to buy it for you, but there was no model listed on this post.

On raypak heaters, the ignitor is actually the same part as the flame rectifier (flame sensor) .
What this means is that even if the ignitor portion is working, and your heater is igniting, the ILO code is telling us that the flame sensor is not sensing that it is lit. This is when it shuts down and gives the ILO code.

If you lost your manual and need a part number contact me @ :

I have most raypak ignitors in stock if you are interested.

Patio heater lights but will not stay on

When posting on here to get help, it is always good to list what you are working on, who manufactured it, and what model it is. otherwise we have no idea most of the time how we can help.

If I can assume that you are working with a propane patio heater that ignites and then goes out , maybe I can help.

If it is firing up, then going out right away it is the thermocoupling inside. without knowing the make or model i cant tell you what the part number is. these are very common parts that can be aquired by calling the manufacturer and telling them what you need. they will either sell it to you, or direct you to somebody that can

Can anyone out there help? I have a 4-year old Pentair Minimax 100 Natural Gas pool heater that was working since we started up the pool in June and it suddenly stopped heating the water. Don't even hear...

you need the heaters replaced, take the model number to your local spa or pool company and they can give you the model and the booklet on how to replace. be sure to turn power off before working on it. some models have valves to shut off water so you don't have to drain it, others don't so the free manual will be very helpful. If the heaters are while and blown out then your PH level is high and you will need to adjust for that condtion, or tell people to quit peeng in the pool.
