You may need to reprogram your phone. On Verizon you dial 228 then listen to prompts. They will finish and tell you it is complete. This should help you out. Good Luck.
you cannot use a verizon phone on an alltel plan. you have to switch over to verizon to make that phone work. i tried getting a chocolate to work on alltel too and they would not do it.
I can help fix your phone. The advice u got from the VZW rep is mostly not true. I have been a LG fan for awhile (about 11 years), until some of their recent pathetic models (Choc.1, vx8600, etc.), which I did owned, and very disappointed. I switched to Samsung and feeling fine again.
When you press vol up & down it will indicate "ringer ear jack." This means the phone is stuck in ear jack mode expecting a wired head phone accessory. Remove the battery then unscrew and pull out the antenna and the black plastic sleeve. Then remove the for small torx screws and carefully remove the back. Take a tooth pick to the back of the ear jack an bend the retainer pin back. Put everything back in reverse order and it should work fine.
