I NEED TO RE-adjust the hi low pressure settings.

There are many different brands of pressure switch each having a different configeration as to setting. I would suggest to look under the switch cover for instructions or model mumber, then google for instructions for that particular model. I generally find that adjustment does not solve the problem (if you are trying to correct a problem). Example: Compressor never reaches cut-out pressure (problem with pump/cylinder/valves). Compressor set at 200psi cut-out from the factory and you would like to lower to say 125. Regulator no longer works so you need to lower pressure. If you post your exact issue, I may be able to suggest a long term solution. If your compressor is several years old, I would suggest replacing the switch with new in the pressure range desired. It has been my experience that once you change the settings from factory, the switch usually never works correctly because the factory uses different springs to achieve settings and use adjustment to fine tune + - few lbs. Good luck with your repair project.

I have central pneumatic 21 gal. air compressor. The unloader valve is broke. The power switch is a fenwai model: fw-10. Where can I buy a new unloader valve?

If you should mean the switch that is pressure controlled that turn the compressor on and off- that is a fairly universal replacement piece, As is the power switch itself

If you needed that specific part, your best bet is Harbor Freight tools who owns the Central Pneumatic domain.

Can I adjust the tank pressure on a Husky 1506 compressor. pop off keeps engageing, so I need to adjust so that compressor shut off automatically

Before you change any parts, check that the pop valve is not faulty. Look closely at the pop valve to read set release pressure. If the valve is releasing before marked reading, replace valve instead to one slightly higher. The pressure may or may not be adjustable at the switch (need to replace the switch) depending on switch installed at the factory (parts list does not give enough information). If your switch has a remove-abel cap with adjustment screws/nuts, post again with model number of switch for info on adjustment. Good luck

When the unit is on and building pressure, the safety valve goes off before it reaches the factory set 150psi pressure. I then lose most of the air and it starts over until the safety valve releases again...

The pressure switch (on / off switch) must be adjusted or has failed. A qualified Bostitch Technician can determine if the switch can be adjusted or must be replaced. Each model is different and without the model number I cannot give you a more precise answer.

Can an air crompressor check valve be cleaned

Only on very rare occasions can a tank check valve be cleaned and still work. The main reason is air pressure is usually high enough inside the tank that when the check valve closes after the pump turns off it usually damages the valve or seat just enough that a leak forms. It is extremely hard to fix a valve or seat so they will seal up again. Without your specific model number I can't tell you which part number you need but most check valves cost $17 to $25 for these types of compressors.

What could be causing my compressor to not shut off and cause the pop off valve to blow?

The pilot valve (brass valve with flip lever or pull ring ) is what controls the pressure. The link below will help you adjust the pressure lower than safety valve release pressure (the safety valve has a rated value printed on side, make sure that the valve is actually releasing at stated pressure ). The pilot should be set to 135 ~ 90. A faulty safety valve will release pressure at lower that stated valve. Replace as needed. The link below is adjustment of a generic pilot valve, however the adjustment is the same on all brands of valves. Good luck

I have a Speedaire Model 3Z492, 2 stage air compressor. When it runs the safety valve (60psi) vents air. When it stops everything is ok. I replaced the safety valve and the same thing happens. Is the...

no. it's meant to vent air once the compressor reaches a certain pressure. on some compressors it's adjustable. others are not adjustable. it is actually possible to buy a higher pressure check valve if you need the extra pressure as long as the compressors internals can handle it.

How do you adjust the pump pressure valve on a Emglo model KU

do you mean the relief valve. it is factory set for your safety and the sefety of the equiptment. also known as the safety relief valve.

if you are talking about working pressure you need to adjust that with the air regulator.

if you are talking the cut out pressure sensor, again this is also factory set for safety. if your equiptment is designed for 110 psi then when your resivor reaches that set point it should cut the motor off and stop running.
