Question about Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 for PC
I have windows xp. Just recently I get this media center receiver error and it wants to close, but I'm not even using media center. The error repeats every few seconds and interupts anything I might be woking on. I tried restarting, same problem. I've hardly used media center and wonder if I should just uninstall.
The only usefull solution i have found is running mcerepair from this site
Its from the microsoft developer network so while not being official it is from someone at microsoft
alternativly you could run "sfc /scannow" from commandline or the start > run dialog, this will return all windows system files to their original versions, it might solve your issue
hope you find this helpfull
