Question about E-Machines eMachines Monitor E15T4
It works great when turned on, but after password is typed, screen goes black and stays like...i've realized that the image is there and computer and monitor is working cause i can get on the net when i use certain keys on the keyboard(ctrl-alt-delete, then to task manager, and then theres a link there that goes to the internet), a guess that i have made is that the system is working great, but the screen has been illuminated or blocked by something(virus maybe) that i just don't know how to fix..
The only thing about your solution mookid is that when you are in safe mode it uses a safe resolution and refresh rate so if you are experiencing problems like too high of a resolution then you will not be able to change the settings by simply trying to change them in safe mode... The only fix this is to un-install the Video Adapter in safe mode and then boot back into Normal mode and install the driver. This will reset the settings completely.

Reboot, and hold down F8. Select safe mode. Once it has finished loading and you have logged on, right click on the desktop and select properties. Are there any settings here that are wrong?
