It shows that I am connected to xbox live but gamerscore shows 0, avatar wont load. I can play online like on rainbow six vegas 2 for example, but I have to create a new character. Its like xbox live connects but fails to load everything.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones). click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Good luck!

you can create another account. The only thing is one person can sign in at a time. If both of you want to go online at the same time on xbox live, you will need to purchase another xbox live card and have another xbox device.
Form your Xbox 360 you need to be connected to the Internet by a straight LAN line or wirelessly. You can test you connection by going to the setting screen on your Xbox 360.
Once connected to the Internet for your Xbox 360 go to your main account screen and find the tab that says "Join Xbox LIVE" click on that link then follow the simple instructions that the Xbox LIVE will provide. At this point you should have a name in mind for your gamer tag.
Xbox 360 LIVE has several different options available for memberships. They are a monthly, 3-month and 12-month membership accounts. I would recommend a simple one month account if you just wanted to check out the features offered on XBOX 360 LIVE. If your an avid gamer and love to play games online with friends, the 12-month Gold membership is the way to go.
Once you've completed the process of joining Xbox 360 LIVE, they will send you a confirmation email confirming your membership. Now you can log on to Xbox 360 LIVE and start doing this like customizing your avatar and playing online multi-player games.
Your XBOX is not connected to the internet. If you are using an ethernet cable make sure that it is plugged in both to the Xbox and at the other end. If you are using a wireless adapter you need to check the settings and make sure that it is joined to your wireless network. Also, it is possible that you are simply not signed in to your xbox live account.
Are you trying to play a game online or from a disc?
Unfortunately without having a xbox live account all your achievements I'm afraid are lost. Next time before to link your account to at least a Silver membership (the free one) that way if you ever accidentally delete or lose your profile information, you can just recover your gamer tag from Xbox Live along with all your gamer info.
One more question though, does your 20gig hdd still contain your profile and gamer achievements? If so, you could most likely just copy it onto a memory card over to your 120gb hdd.
Also the reason its only 117gb, is the same reason all hdd are not the same size they are advertised. The manufacturer assumes 1000mB = 1GB when in reality 1024mB = 1GB. So 120,000mB (which is the physical size of the hard drive) divided by 1024mB = ~117GB.
Sounds like someone has modded equipment, or your victim of a malicious other. Now I have idea of why this could happen. Your memory is full, you've been hacked, You have modded your 360. Of course it seems like your 360 is automatically downloading things from live and is deleting your items, this although unlikely is a suspect. Here's a few part solutions: 1.If you've modded your 360 I'm sorrry I can't help 2.If you've givin' your information out recently, then you should call microsoft and they'll lock your account while they investagate 3.Delete some items 4. Disable live from automatically downloading things
Then again this sounds more like a problem eminating from the system itself, You may have to trade it in, But if all else fails tell Microsoft. Good luck
On the Xbox 360, you'll have two choices of service level: Xbox Live
Silver and Xbox Live Gold. Xbox Live Silver will offer limited Xbox
Live functionality at no cost, while the Gold package will be a fully
functional pay service.
The Xbox Live Silver service means you can connect your Xbox 360
console to a broadband Internet connection and get functionality right
out of the box without having to pay any amount of money.
With Xbox Live Silver you can:
Create an online Gamer Profile
Access the Xbox Live Marketplace
Engage in voice and text messaging
Talk to a single friend at a time using voice chat
Receive video messages from Gold level members
Access massively multiplayer online games (additional fees may apply)
The Xbox Live Gold is similar to the current paid Xbox Live service.
The Xbox Live Gold service delivers the complete online connection
package. With Xbox Live Gold you have all the features of Silver level,
Play multiplayer games online
Multiplayer online tournaments
Participate in Xbox Live online programming, such as Game with Fame, Play and Win, and Prime Time activities.
