Question about Panasonic PT-56LCZ70 56" HDTV
Hi, Ihave a Panasonic PT-56lcz70 and my picture suddenly diasappeared. I unplugged it for about 2 minutes after the fan stopped. I turned it back on and my power light will blink continuously for a few minutes and the fan will run but my screen will not light up and there is no sound. After a few minutes the green power light will go off and the red lamp light will flash twice and pause. Any help as to what might be the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I owned a Panasonic PT-56LCZ70 bought in 2008. When I turned on the power, in 3 to 4 minutes, the image disappeared and the green light stays on for a while and turns off. Then, the red light continue flashing. Can you help me what might be the problem. Your time would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance./cmaq

I purchased a Panasonic PT-56LCZ70 2 years and 3 months ago. The lamp went out about a week and a half ago. I called Panasonic and was able to get through quickly. Without a hassle at all, they opened a case and had me take the TV to a repair shop. The repair shop replaced the lamp in 4 days without any charge to me at all. Although it is frustrating that the lamp went out, Panasonic is standing behind the product and taking care of the repairs.

I have had my tv for only two years and this is the 3rd time my lamp went and I hardly use the tv. IM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW...MY WEDDING IS THIS WEEKEND AND HAVE GUESTS HERE AND HAVE NO TV FOR THEM...HOW EMBARASSING TO HAVE A GORGEOUS TV THAT DOSENT WORK. CALLING MONDAY THIS TV HAS BEEN A LEMON SINCE DAY ONE THE FIRST LAMP BLEW AFTER ONLY 5 MONTHS....

This is in response to Jonathan's post above about contacting Panasonic customer service... My PT56LCZ70 lamp went out 10 days ago now. I checked my warranty and it is still covered for the part and the labor. I called customer service on day 1. They gave me two service providers. I called and they said they would order the part. 7 days later I contact them to get a status and hear that the part order was cancelled in the Panasonic system on day 2. An email from that service provider to the part dept on day 2 and day 4 have gone unanswered. I called customer service on day 7 and I'm told that the number for the parts dept is busy but her supervisor says they're having a problem with the parts ordering system that should be fixed by the next call. I call in day 8 to customer service. Same story that the parts dept is busy and can't be reached. But they will keep trying and call me back the next day with a status. Day 9 - no call. I call back to customer service on day 9. Same story, can't reach parts department, no Supervisor available. They say they will email the parts department and call me when they have info. Also, they give me the number for the parts department to try myself. That number ends up being for a singles line. Now day 10, no call as promised. I call the service provider. He tells me a story about another lady waiting for a lamp. It's been 6 weeks for her. He says he called the parts department and after 45 minutes, got a person. Was told the order is in the system but they can't act on it for fear or generating a duplicate order. Is told it may take a week or two. I have gotten the parts department number from the service provider and am have been typing this during my hold time. I suggest that this be a story be a consideration to anyone thinking of buying a Panasonic product. Will update with any progress made.
