Uninstall norton 360, then restart, then run the norton app removal tool you download from :

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Norton-Removal-Tool.shtml

then restart and if you insist on using 360 install again

Will my programs work on Windows 7?

When considering an upgrade to Windows 7, something that you will need to be concerned with is not only the drivers for your computer and peripherals, but whether that game you bought 2 years ago, or the anti-virus program you bought 2 months ago will work.

Many times the program will not work no matter what you do. It was just not made for Windows 7.

Microsoft does have a Compatibility Center to help aid in determining whether your current programs will work. You can find the site at Windows 7 Compatibilty Center. Of course this site cannot possibly tell you about every program on the market, but it is a big help.

Also, most software companies have support sites and contact information so you can ask the important questions before you upgrade and realize too late that your software is no longer functional.

Happy Upgrading!

You didnt supply the Make ,Model of computer or the OS you are using? I would say you have to many startup and running processes. Without the OS I will give a Win 7 solution: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-ways-to-speed-up-windows-7/3332 Download these two freeware programs 1, MALWAREBYTES at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ IN the install UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version. Runn a FULL Scan, Delete ALL results, reboot. 2, CCLEANER at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program will remove the junk from your computer , freeing up disk space. In the TOOLS section, STARTUP section, disables ALL unnessary startup programs, UNINSTALL ALL Toolbar from your broswer, they kill speed.

Hi! Try to disable the Norton first, then try to use your printer again, if it works turn the Norton and take a look if the problem will still come up.

Hope this helps!

we have nothing to do about your problem is only that you ask some of your friends that know how to install microsoft programs or else bring your system unit(cpu) to the nearest computer service center and tell that you want some microsoft programs install to your unit.

Go to Start>All Programs>Norton360>Support

Their support process is very good. First thing it will do is a scan. Eventually, if it is not resolved, you will have a chance to have a live chat with their tech support...free! I would go that route first.

Have you tried the free Live Chat Support? It really works and is fairly fast. They seem to be pretty knowledgeable too. If you want to, you can turn control over to the support people and they will uninstall and reinstall right before your eyes.

Norton360 has a few querks. I've had a couple problems, including the first installation. If you can't get to the support I would suggest you download and run Nortons Removal Tool. You can get it at:

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2007080716223439?Open&docid=2005033108162039&nsf=tsgeninfo.nsf&view=docid

Then try to reinstall 360. You will have to have your CD Key or hopefully you registered with Symantec, in which case they can authenticate your program. After you reinstall it make sure you run LiveUpdate several times. It seems it takes a few tries before it gets everything up to date.

If indeed your CD is not working, you can still download 360 from Symantec, install it and authenticate it if you're registered.

(BTW, if you have Version 1.0, you can upgrade to Version 2.0 for free.)

Overheating and shutting down

Re-load it. OR Take it apart and clean it. Dust is clogging the heatsink by the processor. AMD OR PENTIUM?

TRY RUNNING SPYBOT S&D and ADAWARE 2007 to remove spyware (Change to the highest that you can. SPYBOT S&D can shut down things in start-up in Advanced mode. Download THE FREE Norton from the Google package and let it run.
