Question about Lands Phones

1 Answer

Short recording time

Our Motorola D210 TAM has a short recording time - only 10 seconds before cutting out, sometimes a little longer.

The manual says callers should get up to 3 minutes, but doesn't address this problem.

There are no stored old messages.

    Thanks for replying, Cosatto,

However, my query relates to my phone - not a camera.

The unit should have the option to make the video size larger within the settings of the camera. Change this and the recording will be longer.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the recording time when taking a video.

VHS plays for 5 to 10 seconds then power switches off

I think you might have a problem with the VHS mechanism. Perhaps damage to the mechanical parts. If the mechanism can't perform the task it has been set after a very short period it will send a message to the electronics to shut down. This prevents further damage to the tape or system.

How to get codes

Cut a short 3-inch piece of wire.
Strip both ends of the wire with wire stripper tool.
Attach a female spade clip to each end of the wire and crimp with a wire stripper tool.
Remove the right side cover to access the data link connector.
Remove the protective plug from the data link connector.
Connect your jumper wire to the first and second terminal on the data link connector.
Turn the ignition switch on and wait for 10 seconds. The light will turn on for 4 seconds, then off for 6 seconds. After this 6 second interval, any stored trouble codes will appear as sequential flashes.
Count the number of times the lamp flashes; this is the first code. The code will repeat three times before playing the next code, if any, after a 3 second pause.
Record the codes and refer to your service manual for possible faults or conditions.
Turn off the ignition switch and remove the jumper wire.
Replace the right side cover.

I cannot record a video for longer than a few seconds what is the problem?

The camera has only 45MB internal memory. So it can take video only for a short time. You need to use extra SD cards to take longer videos.

Short record time on my answering machine

The only thing I can think of is that there is a switch which determines recording time, there was on mine and then there was the VOX option which only recorded as long as they were speaking and cut them off if they didn't talk quickly. You might check and see if somehow they got turned on.

Maytag gas oven cycles every 20 seconds

yes it is normal . but i know your not the first to think its not , todays ovens are so tight , it only takes 10 seconds of heat to keep them at proper temp . it used to be that ovens where kept at a 3 degree sweep that is set at 350 turn on and up to 353 then off ,cool down to 350 and back on . this was a longer time off and a longer time on topday we keep to 1 degree ! 350 on to 351 off to 350 on and so on ....... so short berst of heat make for a more even oven ........ but i know i hate it too ! good luck
