When it's full. You don't need to empty the reservoir before it's full as long as there's a safety shut-off for when the unit is full. Most units have one.

I have a Kemmore Dehumidifier model 580.53650 and when you plug in the power cord it trips the surge protector breaker on the receptical. The surge protector is ok because my other dehumidifier works fine when I plug it in. I checked the AC power cord and it is OK. I removed the Fan motor and Compressor circuit by disconnecting their wires from the capacitor and I disconnected the AC hot lead (black) from the main Pwb board and it still trips the breaker. It appears the the Capacitor is the problem. Does it make sense that the capacitor would cause this problem?
