Question about Kenwood Radio Communications
I have a kenwood tk 272g vhf handheld with a cracked case. i have a new case. how do i change it? thanks
The TK272G is just like any other handheld it is just a matter of taking the radio apart and remembering or make notes of what you did. Start with removing the knobs on the top of the radio and then remove any screws that are under the battery compartment the radio should easily slide out of the case by using a screw driver at the bottom of the radio. Slide the scewdriver between the radio chasis and the case and the radio chasis should lift out. be careful not to bust the rubber seal O-Ring that may be between the radio chasis and the case. the rest should be easy for you to do. the key thing for you to do is take your time and remember the steps you have taken and reverse them when putting the radio back together.
Have a great day!
