Question about PC Laptops

Where can I get the Network Controller and PCI Modem drivers?

I've got a Dell Latitude C840 Laptop. I reformated the laptop and installed most of the drivers but the Network Controller and PCI Modem yellow question marks are still there under the Other Devices Tab. Can you tell me where I can get the driver download and/or what the driver is called? Thanks in advance.

Dell Latitude C840, Service Tag (2x5RP11), OS (Windows XP Professional Sevice Pack 2).
I can't find the driver downloads for those two items (Network Controller and PCI Modem).
Hope that info helps. Thank you

I had tried that before and then tried it again after you suggested it, but still nothing on either of them. Thanks for helping.

Might you have any other suggestions?

FYI, when I downloaded the first item upder Communications for the PCI modem like I was told, the yellow question mark (I guess indicating that the driver has been downloaded goes away). However, when I boot the computer and error comes up for Cnxtsdk.dll. Hope this info helps

People forget that with our old Dell C840's, we don't always have the original motherboards, network cards, etc. etc. I have EXACTLY the same problem and using the Dell Rsource Disk to install/reinstall drivers hasn't solved anything!

What is the service tag of your computer? What operating system do you have?

The network controller is the first file under the network category and the modem is the first listed under the communications category.  If this helps please rate my solution.  thanks

Did you visit Dells supporter siteand entered your tag?
I did, and the files you need is all there, just follow the link below
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=2X5RP11&SystemID=LAT_PNT_P4_C840&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Under "Communication" you will find the drivers for your modem
Under "Network" you will find the drivers for your network controller
Or if you want you can download the diagnostic tools under "Diagnistcs" , intastall that tool and run it, it will help you with all the drivers.

Good luck to you

I lost my wire less connector and wish to install it

Here is a link to the Dell support website for the D610. You can download all of the drivers from there. I would suggest that you also download and install the BIOS flash to make sure the computer is up to date that way.
