Question about Hitachi 43UWX10B 43" Rear Projection Television
Can anyone advise / help.
We have a Sony Bravia LCD which was in our living room, it was connected to the DVD and Video and works with no interference at all, just bought a 32" Samsung and put this in place and moved the Sony TV to the Kitchen, the Sony still works perfectly well with no interference but the Samsung pixelates for a short period and goes blank now and again, the annoying problem is that it only happens on the Digital setting and only with all the BBC channels all the rest are perfect. I live on the Isle of Arran, we have a standard attic aerial and have never had this before, i have bought 2 new scart leads but this has not made any difference, i have unplugged the TV and put it into another socket but still the same. I am baffled so any helpful hints or advice would be welcome.

SOURCE: Color Issue
If the set is working on the video inputs, then it has be be an issue with the input source or the tuner or tuner control circuit in the set. If it was a bad lamp or a spark gap problems you would see a problem no matter what you hooked up to the set.

Shall we assume that the DVD is fine, before addressing the TV issues? Does it work with any other device or component? Seems that if your S Video is clean, then it's just a matter of refining whether your DVD is as well. Check that, and let us know.

Check the options meny of your DVD player, there might be some settings for configuring the component output. I would also see of this is happening for all component devices (borrow an Xbox 360 or another DVD player), if it does that it may be a problem with your TV.
My mother has a cheap DVD player and when it is connected by component to there brand new Sony LCD TV the picture is tinted pink, I have determined that it is the DVD player that is causing the problem so they are sticking to S-video until they get a new DVD player.
