Question about Acer Aspire 6920 Notebook PC
The 'glue' electronics is pretty simple and reliable in these.
Try deleting it via the Control Panel, System, Hardware, then Device Manager; it should appear under the 'Disk Drives' section but make sure you don't delete your hard drive(!)
Once it has been removed, reboot your system. This should force Windows to reinstall the driver for the card drive.
If it doesn't, then the hardware has failed after all.
