I have lost he password to my wifi. I purchased an ipad and i cannot start until i have the password to get onto the wif

First off what is your internet carrier? I would call them first. If u purchased or leased a router from them you can have them walk u through a RESET to factory. You will need all the info from your provider such as user name and password also if its CABLE ETC.
Then u push the button in back with paper clip and it resets it back.
From there u just reinstall it like a new one with the info.
Good luck

I would try to stay with the cisco/lynksys brand if money is available for it.

Just be sure of what speed of router that you have prior to purchasing anything. It is a waste of money to purchase a better card than you have router. Examples are G, N150, N300.

If you have a N300 router and card you will be very pleased.

I have just purchased a new computer and am trying to connect it to an existing Lynksys wireless network. To do so it asks for a WEP key or WPA key. Where do I find this?

Yes, I've also had some problems with Linksys. You need to configure the properties of your wireless network so that it automatically obtains the IP and DNS info. Go to your network connections, right click on your wireless network, go to properties, go to Internet Protocol Version 4, click Properties, and select the "automatically obtain" options.

This should fix your problem. However, it may not. The problem can be something else. But you do not need a WEP key or anything. I just talked to a representative from the company a few days ago and they said that you must always select the automatically obtain choices. If this doesn't work, I recommend calling Linksys. They will be able to help you and they are your best option.
Also, remember that if your computer is not recognizing the network, always try resetting your modem and restarting your computer.

Blinking power light - router not working properly

Blinking power light on the Linksys routers indicate 2 things. 1st is firmware problem, 2nd is the worst one which is defective router. You can still revive it if you can reload the firmware. If not, it's a dead one and you need to purchase a new one. And man, your router is a very old one. You must switch to wireless G router, its 5 times faster than your wireless B and it only cost 30 or 40 bucks

Wireless-G WRT54GS Router won't let me or i can't remember the user name and password i set it up as originally how do i bypass this and reconfigure the router

you need to check the router documentation - open a web page and log into the ip address supplied, you should receive a logon screen, type in username and password as noted in manual. If you don't have the manual, you can google model - should be able to find instructions online.

Adapter failed to find Linksys connection

I received no was a wasted 2 hrs trying to understand the
technicians....I was promised that they could help me and the fee would be waived if
they couldn't....I have contested the amount with MC credit and explained that
I received no service. Don't know if I will purchase or recommend any
Linksys products after this awful experience. I wouldn't buy any program that asks for money up front and then doesn't deliver.....bad company and questionable value
