Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer

2 Answers

Hi there, I have a Samsung CLP-300 (color laser printer) and my smart guide menu is telling me that my fuser is having a heating issue. I've already talked with Samsung tech support and because I'm out of warrenty , I'm S.O.L... and I'm hoping to not have to shell out the $100 plus dollars to have it replaced at a shop. I'm pretty handy myself, I've taken t.v.s apart and fixed them; I'm just not sure on the anatomy of this particular machine and if I'm replaceing the fusing rod, what other parts do I need to replace (like when you do an oil change in a car, you generally replace the air filter too) Thanks for any help you can lend.

As long as the rollers is not damadged, the only other part I would replace is the thermistor unit that senses the temperature. That shoul do it.

SOURCE: Hi. My Samsung CLP 300 Laser is playing up. It

The problem you are experiencing is a common problem with this printer. What happens is over time as the printer is used, toner or developer builds up a film on the developer blades. The developer blades meter the amount of toner that the printer puts on the paper to make the image. As the film builds up, less and less toner makes it to the page causing the image to become faint. The black developer blade probally is clogged.
This can be fixed two ways. The easiest and most expensive is to buy a new imaging unit for about $100+. The second is to disassemble your imaging unit and clean the developer blade(s). This can be done in about 30 minutes. I have posted instructions in my Tips section.

SOURCE: Replace imaging unit error i

Finaly got it.
Pull out the four toner cartridges and also the drum unit , staying in front of the printer , on the right side of the drum unit, you will find a small box with two contacts.
You need to solder a 63ma ( worked for me) fuse in paralel with two rezistors that it contains. It is hold by a small klipp - it is easy to get it out. You also need to empty the waste toner behind the opc , drum or watever you call it . Restart the printer after putting alltogether.
The second solution is to buy a new one but its price talk for itself - close to a new printer :-)

Good luck.

My Samsung CLP-300 Laser jet is "burning" the ink when printing mostly dark colors which causes it to bubble and flake off the paper.

What kind of paper are you using? This printer does not work well with glossy paper and will do the things that you have described. Try using ordinary 20 lb copy paper and see if this makes a difference. If you are already using copy paper, then the problem is with the fuser, getting too hot.

Top roller covered in heat sensitive paper. How do I replace it? please.

If you're trying to say you used label (sticker) paper not rated for laser printers in a laser printer and said labels (stickers) are now wrapped around your fuser then I would tell you game over. The fuser is not replaceable and the machine will not function without it. Sorry.

check on your pc smart panel that is install for any error detect for your printer.

follow the the error to get it check is much easier.

hold and press on the button of the printer for 5 sec to check on the supplier infor. that tells you the waer and tear item to be replace.
advice is to replace the toner block (OPC) image drum
if you do not have a smart panel install. you may go to www.samsung.com -> support and download the smart panel program.

Hi and thank you for using fixya:
This happens when the fuser is not getting hot enough to start the printing process. This could be happening because the fuse is already failing. Try calling samsung see how much is a new fuser

How do you reset the Samsung CPL 300 laser

Try opening the front cover and on the side of the blue color barrel is a white L shaped container that catches printer debris. If it is full the printer will give you the red light also. I found it by accident and it worked for me. I don't have the manual but it's woth a try. Remove it and tap it upsidedown over a trash can till it's empty. Good luck.

Samsung clp-300 Error message is "fuser low heat error

The problem is that the Fuser is not heating up. Its possible you have a broken heat lamp.

The Fuser will have to get replaced, if you want to spend less but more labor, the heat lamp can be ordered.

New black toner cartridge for samsung CLP 315 (K4092) only working on one side of the page

Hi

It sounds like the fuser unit has issues and Samsung with the CLP 300 upwards seem to have issues like this all the time.

I would suggest contacting Samsung customer services to see if you can have the unit replaced free of charge.
