Question about Harman Kardon Harmon Kardon SoundStick II Speaker System Computer Speakers
I seem to not be able to get certain codes provided to work on my HK remote.
Insignia® - Blu-ray Disc Player with 1080p Output Model: NS-2BRDVD
comcast dct6412 III receiver by motorola.
Sharp - 52" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV - Black Model: LC52SB55UThe remote takes 3 digit codes.
It's driving me crazy switching between 4 different remotes. Thanks if you have any info.
A) Place the two remotes so that their IR transmitters face each other
end to end, separated by about one inch. The
AVR 354 remote’s transmitter also serves as an IR receiver during
the learning process.– AVR 354 and Original Remote Head-to-Head
b) Press the Source Selector for the device mode you wish to learn
a code into, and place the AVR 354 remote in Learning mode by
pressing and holding the Learn Button until the Source Selector lights
up, then release.
Learning Remote Commands
c) Press the button on the AVR 350 remote you wish to program with
the new code, and the Source Selector will flash once. You may
learn a new code into the following buttons: Device Power On/Off,
Alphanumeric Keys, Last Button, Back/Exit Button, Menu Button, Navigation Buttons, OK Button, Disc Menu Button,
the four Teletext Buttons, Channel Up/Down, Volume Up/Down,
Mute and the Transport Controls (including Record).
d) Press and hold the button on the device’s original remote whose
code you wish to “learn” until the Source Selector flashes three
times, then release.
e) You may program additional buttons by repeating steps c) and d).
Press the Learn Button once to exit Learning mode, or wait for the
remote to “time out” and exit Learning mode on its own after about

Disconnect speakers and wires. Bad wiring or defective speakers may be loading the amp down and causing the protection circuits inside to disconnect (no sound). If the HK is heating up (beyond what you perceive as normal) with no wires or speakers connected then you have a problem requiring expert repair.
