Now this is ONLY in the case that you have done the bypass or at least grounded the handbrake cable properly to get past the warning screen and nothing else works.

I took mine to a technician that went through the settings, found nothing wrong, except for the fact that it won't play video. What he did afterward was open the unit up and checked out inside. Apparently there was just some little plug that got loose and/or fell off inside. This probably happened during shipping or could have happened if someone dropped the unit I guess. Anyway he re-plugged the little plug inside and it worked fine. I'm still to pick it up and test it myself but this is what I was told today so just thought I'd share it with you guys. Maybe that's what you guys need to get done.

Please note that if your unit is under warranty (like mine WAS), this would pretty much void it.

Dvd player to work while in motion

This can be done with a toggle switch or a relay.
**Toggle** Connect one side of a toggle switch to a ground and the other to the light green wire on the unit (parking brake input). Once the vehicle is started, just flip the toggle and apply ground. Taa-daaah.

**Relay** (see image)** This will bypass the parking brake automatically every time.

It wont play dvds or any kind of video

Having the car in "park" is not the key. The unit needs to see a 'ground' on the light green wire that attaches to the parking brake. (see manual). You can get around this by installing a toggle switch OR a relay that will user the 'amp remote' wire as the trigger.

This what you do. Connect the video wire to a power suppy and install a switch in the power wire. When you put the DVD in and the warning comes up, turn the switch on then off. This will allow you to watch the DVD without the park brake being applied.

No video from ipod

Do you have the green cord that attaches to the parking break hooked up?
This stereo is designed so that you cannot watch videos while driving, therefore you need to have the parking break on in order to get video.
when you play a dvd with out the parking break on, you will only get sound.

ground the wire to a hot (ie power comes to the wire) switch in your dash, like a rear window defroster or seat heater. turn the switch on then off and it will trick the system into thinking you activated the parking brake.
