Mitsubishi WD-62627 HD - Replaced lamp & now display is crooked

Replaced the lamp on my 62" Mitsu 62627 last night and after finally getting the lamp into the housing, I powered it on and the display ahs a slightly lean from left to right which is very visible on stations like CNN or ESPN where there are graphics that remain on screen. It never did this previously and there's no way through any of the regular accessible settings (i.e. not the service menu) to correct. Anyone have a similar problem and if so, could you self-correct going through the service menu or did you have someone come out to fix?

Just did this and it is still crooked. Reinserted and hand tightened and then reinserted & screwdriver tightened. Any other suggestions?

I have the WD 62627 model. the lamp light is on, when i power up the tv, it comes on for like 6 to 10 secs then it turns off. Does this mean I need a new Lamp?

I would say that it probably is a bad capacitor on the power supply board of the tv. What you want to look for is any round cylinders with the tops pushed up at all. The replacements are usually really cheap, it might also be the lamp, but usually when lamps go they go completely while a bad capacitor is known to cause intermittent problems that escalate into a tv only working for about 5-10 seconds.

I have the Mitsubishi WD62327 62". I just changed the bulb which I did last year on my own too. My problem is not replacing the bulb but now the tv does not want to turn on. This did not happen to me last...

You need to reset the timer lamp. On mine it is getting the display to lamp then hold the left and menu button for five seconds.

If that doesn't work go to the mitsubishi site and DL the PDF of your model and it should be in there unless you have the paper manual still around.

No picture on my 62" DLP Mitsubishi

I am not sure what the problem is, but usually if a lamp is bad, the other 2 lamps will still function. Since you are getting no picture at all, I am thinking it is a circuit board problem. TV electronics are expected to last 3-5 years. After that, many components will start to go out one by one. If you have your tv repaired, I would replace the whole circuit boards instead of just the bad component. The power board is the #1 board I would replace 1st. This is the most stressed board and will cause most of your tv problems.
