Question about Kenmore 62602 Electric Dryer
Dryer will not start when you push the "push to start" relay but there is a loud hum for about 10-12 seconds, then nothing. Occurs on all cycles, cannot push again until switch appears to cool. Continunity on thermal fuse, operating thermostat, thermal cutoff, and high limit thermostat all check closed. Could it be the belt switch ? Afraid it might be the motor, if so how do I go about to remove it ? Do I need any special tools ?
Check thermistor with ohm meter, make sure you unplug unit first, make sure wires are removed from thermistor or you will read ohms thru the wiring. If thermistor checks ok, the you have a relay board problem. replace power board.

Pull one wire off the element and start the dryer in a heat cycle . Check power from that wire to the cabinet . Touch the meter to the terminal you pulled that wire off of , and check that voltage . You cannot get correct voltage by checking across the element . Trace the wire NOT getting 120 volts . It will either go to the timer or motor . It will lead you to the problem .

Did you check the door switch? Electronic control could be an issue but start with the basics and you have covered most of them already... good job.

SOURCE: I have replaced the thermal
Sounds like you have some sort of blockage either in the dryer itself or in the exhaust vent. The thermal fuse will blow if the air is not flowing enough.Hope this helps.
