There are many solutions for this issue, please check and try the one that applies. Make sure you back up any data before proceeding.
- Keep the free space between 350 to 500
KB, so as to keep things running smoothly on your phone and prevent
Nokia 3110c from restarting.
- Don't get your phone loaded with too many
themes downloaded from the internet or atleast, don't switch themes
frequently. These themes, mind you, also load up things into your
already falling Nokia 3110c phone memory.
- Remove the card, get it formatted and then insert it back and then restore factory settings. This just might solve the issue. - Don't try updating of music library frequently or don't often transfer data in/out of your Nokia 3110c phone. GoodLuck! eBookBoy
Hi, well to start things off, I have the exact same problem. I want the Sidekick but cannot get the internet and my mom won't pay it for me. So what you have to do is buy it for the retail price, therefore "just the phone". Imagine it like this: you're buying a computer without internet. Same principle. When you buy it for the retail price, it will be a bit more expensive but you don't need internet and it will save you about $30 a month. Which is a life saver. So all you have to do is get it for the retail price, they cannot refuse. If they do either bring it up to the owner, or forget about the phone.
Do you use your phone to browse the internet? if so, go to internet explorer -> options -> memory. and let it delete all temporary internet files. That should free a lot of internal storage.
Turning your phone off and on again can also help to delete temporary files to make room in your storage memory.
hey nantmel, try look for SETTING (tabs or icons), then try look for CONNECTION, there will be INTERNET CONNECTION or ACCESS POINT, try to look for an option 'CONNECT WHEN AVAILABLE' and 'CONNECT WHEN I NEED IT', as your case, your phone might be turned to 'connect when available', that's why whenever gprs is available, it keeps on connecting, try choose the other option, TURN to CONNECT WHEN NEEDED. hopefully this solves ur problem ^^ thanks for sharing
It keeps connecting because an application keeps wanting to access the internet.
Make sure you set your email to manually download messages.
Turn the Weather Tab off in HTC Home Screen as it automatically downloads the weather.
Turn off "QuckGPS"
Disable Error Reporting to Microsoft in the System settings
Also remember MMS messages will require internet connection.
Everytime you send a MMS or receive a MMS your phone will connect to the internet.
