Question about LG LDF8812 Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

New LG doesn't drain completely

I have a new LG stainless steel dishwasher that does not drain completely. As a result, it doesn't dry the dishes. I pulled it out and checked for kinks in the drain hose and found none. I did notice that there is a couple of extra feet of hose under the sink but have no idea if this is normal.
Any suggestions?

Dishwasher not completely drying

The dishwasher does not dry the dishes, it is the residual heat remaining from the washing water that dries the dishes.
Once the washing cycle is over, opening the door and pulling the top drawer out slightly to keep the door ajar will create a small opening which allows the steam to escape and the dishes then dry a lot quicker.

Dishes are not completely dried when done, and there is mold in the silver ware baskets

Are you using rinse aid agent in the rinse aid dispenser?? All manufacturers now require it to properly dry the dishes to meet energy efficiency.
Are you making sure that there is hot water at the faucet closest to the dishwasher before turning on the dishwasher?? If you start the dishwasher and it runs cold water, the is a chance for bacteria to build up inside the dishwasher.
Hope this helps.

I have a new stainless steel Samsung dishwasher. It doesn't seem to be drying properly. Dishes and dishwasher still very wet after cycle is completed.

Hello

Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo

Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

If these recommendations do not improve drying time, please contact Samsung Customer Care

New Amana dishwasher leaving (dried) food particles on the dishes/not cleaning well

CHECH YOUR DRAIN HOSE. IT SHOULD HAVE A HIGH POINT SO THE DRAIN CAN DORK PROPERLY. THE HOSE COULD BE TOO LOW UNDER THE SINK AND DRAINING BACK INTO YOUR DISH WASHER. OR YOUR GARBAGE DISPOSAL HOLE CAN BE CLOGGED

I just purchased an LDF6920. It does not dry the dishes. In fact, there is water remaining in the bottom, and all the dishes and drum and door are beaded with water. It suggests putting some sort of...

First off, there should not be any (visible) water standing in the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle is done. If yes, check the drain, installation of drain line, etc.
Second: The LG is a very energy efficient dishwasher, but in order to acheive this, it does not use a heater to dry the dishes. It relies on the residual heat from the hot water used in the wash cycle, plus a small fan to vent some moist air. It is imparative that you have soft water and use a product such as Jet Dry to assist with drying on the LG dishwashers. Even at that, plastic items (which retain little heat from the water) will not dry well, if at all. Plates, pots, glass, anything with some mass will dry. You may have to adjust the Jet Dry dispenser setting up a bit. If it is set too high, you will get white streaks on your dishes, so then back it off just a bit.

Smell in LG LDF8812ST

Well, I can't tell you how to fix it exactly, but we had the same problem when we moved in to this house. The dishwasher *always* smelled like rotten meat, it was awful. We discovered, when the garbeurator backed up one day, that the garbeurater pipe somehow attached to the dishwasher, because it all came pouring out through the dishwasher a few minutes later. Truly disgusting, it explained the smell, and now we don't use either of them!
so my suggestion is make sure the garburater isn't somehow hooked to your dw.

Not drying

These dishwashers have no heater for drying dishes. It has a fan to circulate warm air. It is very important that your water temp is at least 120 degrees. It is the combination of hot water and air circulating that dries dishes.
