Bose Acoustimass 15 woofer, Replacement of RCA female connector

I need to replace one of my speakers RCA female connector on my Acoustimass 15 subwoofer. But I can't disassemble the case to get to the RCA female connector! How do you remove the part of the case that contains the RCA connector?

Thanks .

On the end opposite of the jacks (top of the sub opposite connectors) in the exact middle, there is a ratchet looking device (flashlight and magnifying glass reveal the little culprit) with a very small flat screw driver rotate the piece CCW until a small tab is protruding from the middle. Pu the palm of your hand on the plastic case and give it a small whack (in the direction of the jacks) it will move about a 1.2 inch. Lift straight up and the case will come off and reveal the connectors. Trust me, get a flashlight and magnifying glass and peer through the small crack between the cover and the box, you will see the little notch (encoder looking) rotating wheel

Need new system input cable for acoustimass 10

I've made a diagram of my serial cable. You can easily make one with some speaker wire and a 15-pin d-type female serial connector. Solder the wires as shown in the diagram.

Gap contact

You can try and use another cable. I've read before that changing the cable can fix that problem. If you know how to solder you can make your own cable. All you need is a female 15-pin d-type connector and some speaker wire. Here's a diagram of the connections:

I have a Bose Amas 10 III with 15pin input and 3 Blue female rca Front Center R and L and 2 Yellow female rca rear R and L is there a special rca to + and _ for output?

rca jacks by design separate possitive and negative. not sure what you are trying to do but make sure that you are not trying to hook up the bose speakers directly to your reciever, you will blow them.

You can buy it on ebay but it's cheaper just to make one. If you can solder, all you need is a female 15-pin d-type connector and a bunch of speaker wire. Here is a diagram of the connections.

Here's a diagram of the 15-pin serial input cable that came with my Acoustimass 10 IV system. You just need a 15-pin female d-type connector, one RCA connector and a lot of speaker wire. Here's my diagram:

Bose acousticmass 15 sub-woofer making a noise

The sub contains the amp for the other speakers. But it sounds like the amp has a seriously damaged section and will probably have to be serviced by Bose.
