My Duet is also making very loud knocking sounds that seem to be from the pump. it's almost like it's a single cylinder reciprocating pump with a really bad rod bearing!

i have had the same problem 2x. They came out to replace the hose and the pump only if you are under warranty or have an extended one

. They accumulate mold and smell They don't tell you when you buy it that you have to leave the door open after every wash (but who wants to do that) my washer is in a space that leads to the garage and if Ieave it open you have to close it every time to get tot he door. The buttons on my control panels are all cracked. I will never buy one of these appliances again they are piece of ***

My Igloo ice 102C is making a loud noise when it pumps in water to make Ice. How do I fix this

It shouldn't make any loud noises at all. Most likely it's a water pump related problem. Most pumps make loud noises when they are lose from their base due to a broken clip or untighten screw. It could also be caused by a faulty pump. Either way, if you just bought it and have the receipt, return it and have them give you another one.

Drain Pump

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, the drain pump might be defective or might have some debris in it. This is a common problem.

Circulation Pump

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, and the noise is a continuous drone similar in speed to the circulation pump sound, it's likely that the circulation pump motor bearings have failed. Once this happens the circulation pump will have to be replaced, the bearings are not repairable.

Drain Impeller

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, the drain impeller might be broken, or there might be debris in the pump. Generally, to gain access to the pump the top of the pump housing will have to be removed.

Pump and Motor Assembly

If the dishwasher is loud the motor bearings, drain impeller or wash impeller might have worn out. All three of these components are part of the pump and motor assembly. It may be possible to replace one of the impellers, but the motor bearings cannot be repaired. In that case the pump and motor assembly will need to be replaced.

Wash Impeller

The wash impeller is a small, plastic blade. The motor spins the impeller forcing water through the spray arms to clean the dishes. If one or more blades has broken off of the impeller the dishwasher is loud. The impeller can also scrape against the pump housing if it is damaged, warped or bent.

Circulation and Drain Pump Motor

If the dishwasher is loud during operation, and the noise is a continuous drone similar in speed to the motor sound, it's likely that the circulation and drain pump motor bearings have failed. Once this happens the motor will have to be replaced, the bearings are not repairable.

Water Inlet Valve

The water inlet valve is an electrically controlled water valve. When it is new, the water inlet valve is very quiet. Over time, the diaphragm inside the valve deteriorates and deforms. This deformation interacts with the water rushing in and can cause a loud vibration, buzzing, squealing or other noises. If the dishwasher is loud during the filling cycle, replacing the water inlet valve may solve the problem.

Your bearing are failing. Replacing them and the seal at a local electric motor repair shop will likely cost around $50.

Fuel delivery problem?

If its loud then the fuel pump is defective and needs replaced. Fuel pumps should make a high pitched sound but not real loud. Fuel pressure at the fuel rail should be 30 psi.

Here's the answer you were looking for. I hope it's not too late. There's a recall on the reservoir because it starves the pump and they slowly breakdown (whine). Take it in, cash in on the recall, get the new reservoir, demand a new pump. You paid good money for the Cadillac of minivans...you deserve it. Worked for me!
