well... do you have a computer/laptop? if so then you should have received a connector to the computer. i lost my charger a few months ago and am not willing to pay 40 for a new one. so i just charge my phone on my computer.
the only problem is atleast on my computer you have to be on it while its charging or else it wont charge

On page 30 of the manual a red light states "Solid red-battery is not installed or is over discharged. Flashing red-battery very low(less than 10%)
In other words if you get a solid red light either you put the battery in incorrectly or your battery is over discharged and is no good.
